The sunrise’s, the view of the river, outside accommodations, and the cozy welcoming cabin – wouldn’t change a single thing – it is perfect! My sister and I will always cherish our time here. You truly have covered all bases. This is a dream cabin. God Willing, I will be back. Thank You!”

Katie said….'We so enjoyed the classic beauty of the setting - Sweeping river views and access are splendid – and the meadow across is a natural delight with a gaggle of goslings, bright orioles and bold blue jays. The gazebo and fire ring are great gathering places – and the cottage a perfect respite of warmth and comfort. Fine fishing, mountain biking and forays for all. Looking forward to our return.”

Why Jeff and Beth Turner chose Grayling

In 2009, my son and I fished 50 Trophy Waters in 50 States in 50 Days. Upon researching the legendary waters of Michigan I found the AuSable to stand apart in many many ways. When we fished/floated the AuSable for the first time I knew that a cabin on the river was in our future. After several years of searching we discovered what is now our Copper Fox Lodge. Its uniqueness, setting, and beauty can only be appreciated in person.

cabin was as awsome as advertised!

  • 5 of 5

We had little trouble finding it even though it did not have a physical address. it was an amazing cabin on a beautiful stretch of the Au Sable river. it was February in Michigan, so it was very cold outside (-20 degrees or first night), but the cabin was surprisingly warm. It was fairly secluded with other neighbors on the river barely visible through the trees. deer and wild turkeys walked along the river and a full sized wood pecker greeted us in the morning. i will definitely be back. the hosts were wonderful and easy to communicate and work with.

Perfect Getaway

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights. We were just looking for a cozy cabin this winter so that we could relax and enjoy beautiful scenery. Perfect location on the river! In the evening we looked out the windows and spotted 2 deer just before sunset. So peaceful and breathtaking! The decor is so tastefully done! We were greeted with a bottle of wine and notes around the cabin guiding us around so that we could find what we needed. Can't wait to return! We will do so this spring and summer!

Cozy and Comfy

  • 5 of 5

The space was just what we wanted for our honeymoon...out in the woods, cozy and warm, but spacious enough for stretching and yoga. We were greeted with a dozen roses and a bottle of wine. The River out the window provided the perfect ambiance for early morning prayer and reading time. The fire added a very cozy feel and perfect for adding extra heat when the temp outside really dropped. Our last day it snowed and created a winter wonderland. It was a place that we could truly Rest and spend time with just the two of us.
