HIGH COUNTRY LODGE, is one the largest cottages on the property with 2800 square feet of heated space and 480 square feet of covered deck space. The covered decks offer awesome mountain views. Sit by the outdoor fireplace and enjoy the day or evening, don't worry if you can't start a fire, the outdoor fireplace has a gas log lighter. Let the kids roam around freely in this gated community. Hike from the cottage to the staffed Greeters Cottage, check out daily activities. Hike to Cedar Cliff Lake and back, a great hike for the not too serious hiker. For the serious hiking Jump Up trail. Mill Pond Pavilion is close, a community building with paddle wheel, wishing well & stocked trout ponds, great place to watch the kids enjoy the great outdoors. Many kids have caught their first fish at the trout pond. You will be amazed to how kids take to this outdoor adventure community. Upon arrival you will be met by our staff Greeter. The Greeter provides an orientation of your lodge, Bear Lake Reserve and the surrounding area. The Greeter will be able to address all your questions and is available throughout your stay. The Greeter will start your vacation off informed.
