This condo is recently renovated and located in Mt. Bachelor Village Resort. Conveniently located for all outdoor activities, shopping, dining & night life. If you want to stay in, enjoy a cozy evening near the fireplace and watch your favorite program or sporting event on the flat screen TV. The kitchen is fully functional and equipped with all the essentials and a breakfast bar for seating. Feel like grilling? Fire up the gas grill on the outdoor deck and dine alfresco. The comfortable bedroom has a queen bed and a queen size air mattress is also available.
Be sure to take advantage of the resort amenities which include, swimming pool, tennis courts and hot tub. You can access the Deschutes River Trail which is used year round for hiking, snowshoeing, mountain biking and white water river rafting. Golf is available at Widgi Creek, which is one mile west. Downtown Bend is 5 minutes away. The Old Mill District (shopping & restaurants) and the Athletic Club of Bend are very close. The Mt. Bachelor Ski Resort is only 20 minutes away.
My family spent two nights and enjoyed our stay. The complex is in a great Bend location. It is close enough to the Old Mill District and downtown. Not really walking distance but just a couple minutes by car. It is just off the Mt. Bachelor access road toward the mountain from town making the drive to ski and board a short 20 minutes. The location of the unit within the complex is good as well. Ground floor entry within 100 yds of the swimming pool/hot tubs. Parking is ample and in front of the unit. There appears to be room to park while towing a raft/driftboat/snowmobiles (not a large trailer).
The unit itself is very nice with all of the essentials. The amenities and finish work are nice enough for a couple's romantic weekend but not so nice that you can't bring the kids.
The price is very reasonable and suggest that you book it at this price while you can. I know of no other lodging in Bend that sleeps six at this price with these amenities and quality.
The only caution I have is that 6 is a stretch. We had 6 and we thought it was fine. We are accustomed to being in tight quarters as we have a big family. As the provider for a big family I applaud the owners for allowing 6.
The pool was reasonably sized and heated even though it was March. There are two hot tubs. One under cover and one outside and were great. The trail system would be great for walks to the river and the tennis courts look good.
Condo was convenient to Mt. Bachelor (20 minutes) as well as downtown Bend (less than 10 minutes). Comfortable unit for my husband and me - well equipped, clean. We liked the fact that it was on the ground floor as well. Jon was great to deal with!
Jon was very cooperative in getting the condo ready for us on short notice. The unit was very clean when we arrived and the accommodations were very comfortable. However, if you plan to do a lot of cooking, please note that range and dishwasher are apartment-sized. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and cooking items, though. This unit is right off the main road to Mt. Bachelor and very close to town so we enjoyed the best of both worlds. We ate downtown at Wild Rose and the Jackalope Grill (highly recommended). I would recommend this property. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is because it is slightly dated.
We loved this condo! Perfectly appointed, has everything our family of four needs. The pillows, bedding and towels are better quality than we have at home. The adorable kitchenette is well appointed; everything we need for easy meals after snowboarding. The place is spotlessly clean and the new couch is super comfy. Jon had excellent communication and the location was quiet and outstanding proximity to Mt. Bachelor and Old Mill. We're a family of four with two big teenage sons and all our snow clothes - still plenty of room. Thanks very much - we will be back!
Wonderful location in Bend. Short walk to River trail. easy to get to central Bend. Pool and hot tub just steps from the condo. Owner is responsive and communicates well. Good value.
After reading the advertisement for this condo, my friend and I were expecting something else. The web pictures showed the river - which we thought would be by the condo itself. The condo is nowhere near the river, in fact , the condo backs up to a big warehouse type building with the interstate right close by. You can hear the traffic from the balcony. The hideaway bed is not comfortable at all. The mattress on it is about 3 inches thick and you can feel the bars from the bed on your back when you lay down on it. We ended up blowing up our air mattress and sleeping on that instead of the hideaway.
Please take note that this condo is on the ground floor. We listened to people above us walking around and talking until 1am every night we stayed there.
While we appreciated the amenities and hospitality, overall our experience was not great. If I were to stay in this village again, it would be on the river side on the top floor.
