Enjoy magnificent views from on top of the world in this fully-equipped, delightful and charming home from atop Hanging Rock Mountain. Watch the sun rise OVER the clouds below you as you relax in our hot tub, enjoy a cup of coffee from the deck, or from the comfort of the living room. Fire up the wood-burning stove for those cool nights, or open the windows to let the breeze in on the summer nights.
Honey Bear House is literally walking distance from Hawksnest resort and just minutes from Boone, Blowing Rock, Banner Elk and Valle Crucis. Wanna ski? Check. Wanna hike? Check. Wanna lounge around and do nothing but just relax in the hot tub? You can do that too.
Families will love the location near snowtubing, ziplining, Grandfather Mountain, gem mining and more. But you don't even have to leave; Honey Bear House is equipped with cable TVs, wi-fi, a DVD player and foosball.
Both bedrooms feature Queen beds with all linens. (There are also two Queen sleeper sofas with linens as well.) A fully-equipped kitchen (completely renovated in April 2011) is longing for a gourmet cook's touch. The home also boasts two full baths and an outdoor hot tub, overlooking the wonderful view.
NOTE: A 4WD vehicle is necessary for the winter visits. A view like this doesn't come easy!

We have long enjoyed the beautiful N.C. High Country. We purchased this home so that our growing family can make memories there for a lifetime. We firmly believe you will too in our home.
The first thing that drew us to this home was its million dollar view. (The hot tub didn't hurt either!)
This home is ideally situated close to EVERYTHING that we love about the area: it's close to the Blue Ridge Parkway, waterfalls, shopping, hiking, skiing, restaurants, quaint towns, Grandfather Mountain (where we can see, in the words of our oldest daughter, 'cute, little bears'), Tweetsie Railroad and so much more.
This home is very close to Hawksnest snowtubing and zipline - the longest zipline on the East Coast; along with the Blue Ridge Parkway; Grandfather Mountain; Tweetsie Railroad; gem mining; Mystery Hill; Linville Caverns; Blowing Rock; the ski slopes at Appalachian, Sugar and Beech Mountains; Tanger Outlets; the Blowing Rock; Moses Cone Park; Julian Price Park; Christmas tree farms; Appalachian State University; West Jefferson; Mast General Store in Valle Crucis; trout fishing; rafting; Dan'l Boone Inn and other great restaurants; wineries; waterfalls; the Holy Trinity Church frescoes in Glendale Springs; and much, much more.
