Personal dock for your boat. 4 sit-on-top kayaks for your use. Sandbox and swing set for the children. A horseshoe pit for the adults. Large fire pit for nighttime roasting of marshmallows or just relaxing by the fire. A new full size volley ball court facing the water. Large basement with ping pong, pool and foosball table, and a convertible poker table to bumper pool. Large tv with Xbox. Board games for those rainy days. Upstairs sitting room has a gamecube. Many vhs' to use in the rooms with vcr's. Other rooms have dvd's for your personal movies. Large gourment kitchen that seats 10 at the table, 8 at the kitchen island and 2 at the bistro table. There are two refrigerators, two dishwashers and two sinks. An under-the-counter ice maker and garbage disposal are also included. Rustic maple hardwood floors throughout the first two floors and ceramic tile throughout the basement. There are two sets of staircases on both sides of the house.

  • There is a master suite on each of the three levels. Two of the bedrooms do not have windows. We have utilized all the rooms in the house and transformed the theater room and work-out room into bedrooms. The owner's bedroom located on the first floor will be unaccessible to the renters. This bedroom was not included in the total square footage of the house and is not displayed in any of the photos.

Relaxing week in a gorgeous home!

We stayed with a large group of about 20 family members. The house is gorgeous and has everything you could need. 2 refrigerators, 9 bedrooms, plenty of bathrooms, and the 7,000 square feet came in handy with our large group. Plenty to do here - kayaks were used constantly, brought tubes to lounge in the lake, large deck to enjoy the beautiful view, played games and cards, firepit to relax and roast marshmallows, etc. Cousin brought boat and tubing which was a blast! Owners very nice and pleasure to work with. This was the most relaxing vacation I ever had! We were so pleased, we are planning to return again next year and we can't wait! :o)

The Most Amazing Week!

We just returned from a week long family reunion at Great Escape. We were a party of 18 that had "kids" of ALL ages all the way down to 9 months. This property had something for EVERYONE! The children enjoyed the trampoline, swing set, toys, games and videos, large yard and swimming in the lake. The adults enjoyed the large outside deck, 4 kayaks, horse shoes, pool table and ping pong and foosball table for some late night fun.

The home was large enough for everyone to have their own space, and places for us all to gather as well. The kitchen was well equipped with anything we would need with plenty of storage for our food. The kitchen also provided more than enough space for everyone to sit together comfortably and enjoy a wonderful meal.

The owners were a pleasure to work with, and promptly answered any questions or concerns we had before we arrived and during our stay. They were also extremely prompt in returning our security deposit after we left. They provided a nice welcome basket with information about the area as well as the makings for Smores. I thought that was a nice touch.

I would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone! It truly was a Great Escape, and we look forward to “escaping” again!

Exceeded expectations....

This house is enormous and the photos are nice but doesn't fully do it justice. It's not easy to find houses large enough to handle our annual family reunion type get together. This one had room to spare and the flexibility with pull out beds and trundles in many bedrooms easily allowed us to give everyone an ideal space.

We brought bags with toys and supplies that never needed to be opened because the kids were so busy with the amenities provided inside and outside.

Most of the time was spent in the kitchen area which had ample storage and refrigerated spaces. The appliances and work areas were designed to accommodate a lot of people. A plaza with food and beverages is only a short drive.

We highly recommend this house to large groups with or without kids.

Excellent location with everything you would need

We rented this place for our group vacation. Our party included people from various age groups including little kids, pre-teens, teenagers, adults and 60+. Each one of us loved it.

This place is spacious and is extremely well kept. It has almost everything you could think of in a vacation property. Views are amazing and there is so much to do onsite. We had a blast with Pool Table, Ping-Pong, Paddle Boat, Kayak and Row Boat. The BBQ party was a big hit. Audio-Video Library has tons of stuff for young and adults alike. Kitchen had plenty of dishes and cutlery for our large group size.

Supplies in the house were thoughtful and well kept. Owners are accommodating and responsive.

Pictures do not do justice. Wonderful place. We would love to go back.

Perfection!

There are lots of houses in Lake Anna but this one is definitely one of the best HOMES! If you are looking for a home that is fully equip with everything you and your guest could possibly need look no further, this is it. The pictures do not do this home justice, it is super clean, modern, and very well maintained. The size of the house really allows everyone to have their own space while at the same time having wonderful spaces for everyone to come together and enjoy each other. If you love to cook, eat, and have fun the house has everything you could need as well as ample space (2 refrigerators, 2 dishwashers, huge pantry), huge basement level with full size ping pong, pool table, large fire pit. EVERYTHING! We rented a boat and we were able to pull up to the house to pick up guest (PRICELESS!). Our group of 12 adults just absolutely loved our stay and wished we could have stayed longer. We honestly spent most of our trip talking about how soon everyone could get time off to come back, it was awesome from start to finish. The owners are absolutely wonderful, very accommodating/professional and incredibly easy to work with. I'm sure you will enjoy your stay as much as we enjoyed ours, but please don't book up all the weeks because we definitely plan to go back soon :-)
