Our RetRome Colosseum Garden Residence consist of charming bed and breakfast guest-rooms, each with it's own private bathroom, and apartment-units that can host from 1 up to 8 persons.

The property is proud to offer a high standard and a decor in a vintage design theme. The design is a blend of a unique Retro objects that gives an unique vintage feel to the units, as a tribute to great designers and to the Roman golden era in Cinema, Design and Art of the 1950's and 1960's.

Our goal, when creating the Retrome Colosseum Garden, was to establish a boutique property on a central location with the focus on comfort and great interiors. This should give the traveler a sensation of traveling back in time while staying in the RetRome Colosseum Garden Residence.

The superb location of our Residence is an ideal starting point for exploring the city. We are located in the very center of Rome, just 250 meters from the Colosseum and Roman forum in the 'Celio' neighborhood, considered by Romans to be one of the best locations in the historic center.

The area is surrounded by parks, ancient villas, and monasteries from 3 directions while on the 4th, we find the Colosseum where the walking trail to explore the rest of the historic city center starts. In the neighborhood you will find many small cafe's, wine bars and restaurants that keep the Roman food tradition alive. At the same time the area maintains its own residential character and it is very peaceful.

The Colosseum Garden Residence is at walking distance from all major monuments of Rome including the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and all the rest. We also enjoy a Metro stop nearby, a Tram stop and many bus lines at a 5 minutes walk from our door step.

Breakfast

For our B&B guests we offer a lovely light breakfast at a nearby Café with Colosseum views.

What makes this house unique

This ancient and peaceful neighborhood is a true gem, just minutes walk from most monuments but yet the area maintains it's character and is not over run by large hotels or branded restaurants. amazing traditional Trattoria's and Cafe's together with wine bars and Gelato places. Just take an afternoon brike and go up to Colle Oppio park in front of our street and taste amazing espresso with the Colosseum standing between the trees, That is probably one of the most inspiring experiences that one can have in Rome.

Many of Rome's most important sites are in short walking distance from our property. within the neighborhood you can find many activities such as a 3D cinema show of the Colosseum, guided tours, tours on Segway, wine tasting venues, traditional Italian restaurants, ancient churches and monasteries, 3 historic parks, an ancient villa and more. all this in the very center of Rome.

Great location close to the Colosseum and the Metro. In a quiet neighbourhood with plenty of good restaurants and shops. The Double room we booked (at the B&B) was well decorated and was clean and well presented. Imran who was our contact whilst we were staying at the apartment spoke great english and couldn't have been more helpful or professional. Gave us some great recommendations of less obvious places to see as well as recommendations for a number of good restaurants (make sure you go to Luzzi's, great value (we spent more on a bottle of wine in a couple of restuarants than we did on dinner and wine at Luzzis!), great food a really authentice eating experience.
We can highly recommend this accommodation for the location, rooms and service.

I can easily recommend this small B&B in Rome. It really felt like being home away from home and this is because of the combination of the location of the Colosseum Garden B&B, and what is actually offers. There are only 4 guest rooms in the B&B, so you feel already that somebody takes care on you (and thank you Angela for all the tips your gave us...). Our room was very nicely decorated, and had everything we needed but in the hi-end approach. We got a basic breakfast in a Cafe nearby, but it was just enough to start the day in this amazing city. The neighborhood of that B&B is relatively more quiet than areas like Piazza Navona, but it always feel safe to walk there. And of course, you are only 300 meters from the Colosseum, which is a great sight every time. We loved it.

I think that the best way to describe this bed and breakfast is "4 star hotel undercover"...
The room was amazing, being by far better than all the 3 star hotels that I ever been. Spacious, clean, with all the commodities (free Wireless Internet, 32" lcd screen, air conditioned, lovely bathroom) and even a lovely (common) kitchenette with Espresso machine, small fridge, water cooker etc.). There is not a single flaw to say!
Regarding the host, Angela was just amazing... Thoughtful, kind and always available to give you nice hints and tips to get the best of Rome.
This bed and breakfast is located perfectly next to a lot of tourist sights, but still quiet and very safe to walk in the evening in the middle of a lovely neighborhood, with nice restaurants and fruitshops.
I have no doubt to say that we will stay there again in a future trip to Rome!

It was our first time in this part of Rome. We liked the location in a residential neighborhood almost next to the Colosseum and the Roman Forum. You don't have to walk far to find restaurants or a wine bar. In less than 15 minutes you can also walk to the Monti neighborhood or piazza Venezia. The rooms are modern with a vintage touch, the bathrooms are new and the rooms very clean. We found that the colosseum garden b&b was a good match in terms of price - quality and location. We would certainly recommend it to friends and family.

For Rome, it is a perfect value for your money!!

We stayed at the Colosseum Garden B&B for 3 nights. We chose this accommodation for 3 reasons - the location, the price, and the funky look. Overall, we had a good choice, as the location is really perfect. Not as touristic as the area of Piazza Navona, but still very close to all the attractions we wanted to visit in Rome (we have not used the public transportation). The price we paid was at least 30% cheaper than any 3 star hotel we have searched in Rome, so we were happy with it. It is not a hotel but a bed and breakfast, so if you are looking for a concierge that will give you tips on where to travel in Rome, you have to look elsewhere, as they do not offer this. We loved it, and will use it again when visiting Rome
