You will love this stunning home in Omena on 225 feet of West Grand Traverse Bay on 3 acres. It does not get any better than this in this private, restful retreat far from the busy hub of life but close enough to all the fun in beautiful Northern Michigan. Featuring 2 separate properties with the main house featuring 2 levels and facing east. Main house has bedroom on main floor with 1 Queen. Second floor bedroom has 1 King.

The second cottage which sits in the rear of the main house has 3 bedrooms with 2 sets of bunks (Full/Twin) in one room, King in second bedroom and 1 Queen in third room. Cottage also features kitchen and small dining area. Both cottages sleep up to 13 guests.

Beautiful decor and beams of light stream into the house. Kitchen is fully stocked and has dishwasher, water filtration, and lots more. High efficiency washer/dryer. If it gets a little chilly there is a wood burning fireplace. Direct TV, DVD (in both houses), WIFI. Home also has central air. Your well mannered pet is welcome. Linens are included. SATURDAY-SATURDAY rentals in the prime summer months.

Outdoors, enjoy huge frontage and amazing acreage of trees and wildflowers with lighted path to the shoreline. Relax on the porch or deck right by the house or on the deck right by the water. The outdoor space is grand and relaxing. There is a dock too (no overnight dockage please). Hot tub for four overlooks the lake. (not available winter months)

Located between Northport and Suttons Bay, Omena offers peace and quiet and easy access to all the Leelanau attractions. A great spot to visit the fabulous Leelanau wineries! 30 minutes to Traverse City and 45 minutes to the Sleeping Bear Dunes.

The house was beautiful!!! Plenty of room to accomadate everyone.The only problem were there were a lot flies.

Reviewer Comments:
Bathroom doors have no locks. Master bedroom has no door. Smallest bedroom in guest house has no door to utilities room which makes a lot of noise and wakes you in the night. Bunk room is excellent. Loft room is totally wasted space since there is no room for the futon. Exterior is beautiful with amazing landscaping. A lot of tasks are assigned to the renter - turning on/off well, monitoring septic rather than to housekeeper. Unable to turn off air dispite 5 MBAs and one medical doctor. House needs an owners manual and more towel racks, esp. for beach towels. We had a nice time but the division of space could have been better.

Great house...beautiful and good for two families or families with teenagers. Beach is rocky and lake is shallow at this point. VON could do a better job of cleaning...especially kitchen, provide more towels and do a better job of stocking kitchens. overall, great rental.

Reviewer Comments:
The rental was great. Only two issues. The property is on a septic and we happen to be the lucky ones to be there during which time the septic tank was full. We called Up North Vacation Rentals as well as the number for the organization that empties the septic. Luckily, by the following day, the septic tank was emptied. The other issue was fine for us, but if you had a family with small children, there is not much of a beach at this home. It is very rocky. We kept water shoes on the entire time when we planned to be in the water. We have older children so this was not much of an issue for us. Aside from those two issues mentioned above, we could not have been happier. We loved the set up, the property and the home and we would stay here again and again!
