This Taupo holiday home has 3 double bedrooms (1 x queen, 1 x double, and 1 bunk with a double on the bottom and a single on top), plus there is a bedroom with two single beds sleeping a maximum of 9. There is also a fold-out double couch in the lounge. A portacot is available should it be required. You will find 1 bathroom and separate toilet in the house and an additional bathroom and toilet in the garage of this Taupo accommodation.
For ultimate relaxation a hot spa pool awaits you in the spa room through french doors off the deck - bliss! There is also internal access via the bathroom.
French doors lead from the living area and open on to the rear deck and BBQ area under a wisteria pergola, a great place to relax in the afternoon sun, or under the fairy lights in the evening. In the winter months you can also curl up on the comfy sofas by the wood fire in the lounge.
Children love the private leafy backyard that is fully enclosed, perfect for a tent. The large lockable double garage is suitable for parking cars or a boat, storing mountain bikes and has plenty of extra space for the kids to play in on a rainy day. There is also off street parking on the front cobbled courtyard.
The galley kitchen is in the heart of the house, looking onto the BBQ area and is well appointed with electric hobs, oven, dishwasher, microwave and fridge/freezer. Dine indoors around the six-seater handcrafted hexagonal wooden dining table, a great place to enjoy the day's catch fresh from the Lake.
The house is fully furnished and has modern amenities - Freeview TV and DVD player, stereo system with iPod connection, automatic washing machine and dryer, electric blankets.
It is an easy 4 minute walk from the lake edge via the neighbouring walkway. Take your togs and enjoy the great swimming beach immediately below. Walk, cycle or push a stroller along the lake edge path to the childrens' playground and boat ramp close by, or double back and head for a coffee on the jetty at the 2 Mile Bay Sailing Centre. Rent a kayak, dingy or windsurfer while you are there.
Out front watch for tui in the kowhai tree, or listen for the pop of the parachutes up above and look for their bright colours as they float down toward the airport, a 5 minute drive from the house.
It is approximately a 10 minute drive into Taupo township for shops, cinema, restaurants and bars. The Rainbow Point dairy is just a 3 minute drive.
