The Owner purchased this cabin in 1995
Kelly purchased this property in 1987 when we moved to the Red Lodge area. We own 28 acres and have 3/4 mile of Rock Creek frontage. Kelly's Rock Creek Cabin was built in 1995 in order to provide a unique log cabin rental for people wishing to experience the rustic flavor of Montana.
Rock Creek is but a few short steps from the deck of Kelly's Rock Creek Cabin. The sounds of the babbling brook can be enjoyed while relaxing on the deck. Several 'fishing holes' on Rock Creek are a short hike away. The adjoining property is the Horse Thief Station Fishing Access site and has beaver ponds full of eager brrok trout.
When we arrived at the cabin, the owner had a fire already going in the fireplace which was a very nice touch. We felt very welcomed. The cabin was absolutely beautful, and the pictures on the internet does not do it justice. Our first night there was priceless. We sat for hours in the hot tub and it was the most relaxed I have felt in months. The next day we went skiing and it was very cold. The high was 14 degrees, and we could not wait to get home and get back in the hot tub. When my child jumped in, the hot tub was very cold and we discovered broken. The owner was contacted and during the next 2 days, he tried to fix it, but was not able to. We were really disappointed because that is why we rented the cabin to begin with. The owner was very sorry, and even tried to fix it in the middle of a storm, so we appreciated that. The owner also gave us a discount which helped, and we know it was not his fault - these things happen. Overall, a perfect experience besides the bad luck of the hot tub breaking on our visit. The communication with the owner was also very good.
We spent a long weekend at this cabin and absolutely loved it. Everything was perfect from the cabin itself to the hot tub under the stars to the peaceful creek that lulled us to sleep each night. The owner is great to work with. Very kind, always asking how we've enjoyed our stay and if we need anything. It is in a nice location near town. It was a short drive to some amazing trails in the Beartooth Wilderness also. We are already planning to come back again and again!
This was a great cabin experience. It was clean, cozy, and relaxing. And since it was located near Rock Creek we were lulled into a peaceful sleep.
Such a nice place to stay -- one night wasn't even close to enough!! Very clean, cozy and the hot tub was perfect. Already trying to plan a return trip this summer/fall
Our stay at the cabin was as wonderful as could have been expected. It was a comfortable, cozy place for us to escape. As it turns out, it was a great spot to get engaged too!! We arrived as a happy boyfriend and girlfriend, and left as fiancés. The stay at the cabin was the cherry on top of a perfect weekend!
Clean, high quality cabin, with everything you need to enjoy your stay in Red Lodge "country". My family stayed here for a week to go skiing and we loved the layout. Upstairs loft with tons of room and also two nice bedrooms on the main floor. With the classic A-Frame design and all wood interior you can't go wrong. Add in the deck and hot tub and fire pit by the creek and it just adds to its allure. The full kitchen/bathroom and shower make it the place to stay for a week of skiing and/or hiking/fishing. Its not right in town but you can get to downtown Red Lodge with a 3 minute drive.
