The Back Deck might be your favorite place to relax with a drink while enjoying near perfect 75 degree mountain temps. Inside a fresh breeze flows through open windows as you contemplate reading, napping, or both. Morning coffee might best be enjoyed in a Front Porch rocking chair. As nature surrounds, you spot a 'white squirrel' at play, some happy hummingbirds or a small deer hidden quietly in the woods. While walking to the 8 acre lake, swimming pools, tennis courts, dog park, and Clubhouse you pause at a rhododendron stand along the way.
Just ¼ mile away is the dramatic overlook at the heart of Caesar's Head State Park. Hit the hiking trails to Raven Cliff Falls, where a suspension “Mountain Bridge” overlooks the 420 foot falls as they splash deep into the mountain cove below. Where the Eastern US Continental Divide marks the NC / SC state line you can ride up to 'Pretty Place', the aptly named open-air chapel popular for weddings with panoramic views.
Since it had a starring role during filming of 'THE HUNGER GAMES', nearby DuPont State Recreational Forest between Brevard and Hendersonville has become a must stop for movie pilgrims. Here, among the trails shaded by pines and popluars, is where you can connect to the world of Katniss, Peeta & Haymitch to discover a dramatic landscape of waterfalls, hidden lakes and fishing streams.
The quaint college town of Brevard, NC, famous for its summer music festivals, is a must stop for groceries, one-of-a-kind local shops and fine restaurants. Near Brevard is Pisgah National Forrest, where you can take a mountain stream plunge (if you dare) down the famous naturally formed “Sliding Rock”.
In Asheville tour the majestic Biltmore Estate or the NC Arboretum on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Discover a street festival in delightful Hendersonville or head south to visit Downtown Greenville's exciting revitalization. From spectacular Lake Lure to the Blue Ridge Parkway, there's lots to see in every direction during your getaway to Caesar's Head, SC.
Caesar's Head State Park is located in the northern tip of Greenville County, South Carolina along scenic Highway 276 and is easily accessible from I-85 or I-26.
* On Sunday mornings, from Memorial Day weekend through September 12, Faith Memorial Chapel @ Cedar Mountain hosts visiting clergy from throughout the Carolinas. These open-air, Nondenominational services continue a 72 year mountain tradition and begin 11 a.m.

We live in Texas but found our slice of heaven at Caesar's Head. In addition to the wooded environment we love the comfortable daytime temps and cool, crisp star filled evenings, especially when elusive 'Blue Ghost Fireflies' light up the night. When we're not here, it's great that others can enjoy it as much as we do.
We knew this was someplace special when we first visited in 1995. Our attraction was the combination of quiet seclusion, natural beauty, perfect weather, beautiful plants, unusual wildlife, state parks and wonderful towns. For us there is no better place to relax and unplug.
The seclusion of 'Hicks Hideaway' provides a peaceful uncrowded, away-from-it-all feeling. While simple in design this nicely laid out home seems just perfect for us! When we're not working in the yard, fishing, hiking or exploring, we love getting together with our family & friends for cookouts and cocktails. Sometimes we just do nothing. The spender of Spring & Summer combined with the Fall foliage and mild Winters make this enjoyable anytime of the year.
