After visiting Greenville, ME for 3 days, I put money down on a home! The North Woods area TRULY embraces the meaning behind Maine's slogan, 'Maine, the way life should be!'. I have enjoyed both the area and the people of this town for 14 years and counting. My kids have gown up vacationing here, and I hope their kids will enjoy it someday as well. Being from Philadelphia, PA this cabin is the PERFECT retreat to get away from it all!
This is a comfortable, fully equipped house, secluded, private, and yet 5.5 miles from activities downtown. Relax by a fire outside and enjoy the night air and millions of stars in the sky, or sit comfortably inside by a wood stove fire, play games, watch satellite TV, or just have good conversations with family and friends. Morning coffee on the large front porch on a nice day makes it all worth it!
Once I saw the winter night sky for the first time, I knew I was home! I am not a star gazer, nor versed in astronomy, but the first time I saw the constellation Orion, and could view the ENTIRE archer profile, I knew this place was something special. I will also never forget one morning sitting on the front porch, drinking my coffee, when a bull moose came walking down the driveway, stopped, and stared at me for a good 4-5 minutes. We were just being good neighbors and enjoying the morning sun!
