In the heart of wine country and centrally located in picturesque downtown Los Olivos , this newly remodeled Victorian is steeped in charm, right down to the white picket fence.
From the outside, this 3 story home whispers back to the Victorian era with crisp white clapboard siding, dormers and decorative cornices in true handcrafted style. Inside, the spaces are bright, cheerful, and sparkling with special touches. With an interior designer's aesthetic, each room has been transformed through use of color played against pure whites, rich natural textures, and unique furnishings. A consistent feature throughout are cozy window seats wrapped in handprinted linen fabrics, all by Raoul of Santa Barbara, a sought after local designer.
The Living Room is divided into two separate spaces by a gas fireplace. Newly refinished hard wood floors shine underfoot. This spacious room gets plenty of natural light and also offers a 55' flat screen TV. The oversized bay window seat is suitable for 2 people to curl up in the warm sunshine that streams through paned glass.
The Dining Room adjacent to the Kitchen features a round glass top table and sits just in front of sliding doors to the backyard. This is the perfect place to have a morning cup of coffee and plan your day in wine country.
The Kitchen is bright, efficient, and stocked with all the necessary culinary tools to create wonderful meals or simple snacks. The cook will enjoy family and friends as they relax at the breakfast bar, which separates the Kitchen and Dining Room.
Upstairs, the Master Suite has a king-size bed and is romantic and inviting. The long window seat has custom designed white orchid fabric and is overflowing with pillows. The entire room is a restful place to enjoy a quiet moment to read or nap. A full Bathroom with walk-in shower completes the space.
There are 3 Guest Bedrooms on the 2nd floor, each have their own style in keeping with the colorful themes throughout this friendly home. Both east facing bedrooms offer window seats. Bedroom #2 features 2 twin beds that can also be converted to a comfortable king-size bed upon request. Bedroom #3 has 2 twin beds. Bedroom #4 has a built-in twin bed with views overlooking the backyard. There is one hall Bathroom on the 2nd floor, and a Powder Room on the 1st floor.
A unique feature of this home is the 3rd floor Loft Bedroom, located up a spiral staircase. The Loft is the perfect place for younger family members to have a space of their own but is close to parents on the floor below. It offers a flat screen TV and 2 twin beds creating a cozy, fun escape. It should be noted that guests must go through the Master Suite to access this room; a glass French door in the Master Bedroom closes off the staircase, creating more privacy for all.
The backyard with large flat lawn is perfect for a family game of tag or croquet. Bring home a favorite bottle of wine from local tasting rooms, fresh fruits and vegetables from Los Olivos Grocery, and throw something delicious on the Santa Maria style wood burning barbecue. Create memorable outdoor mealtimes with family and friends in this spacious backyard and patio.
