Spring Break Vacation

We made it to the Keys at 2:00 a.m. after flight and rental car delays; however, we were very happy when we finally pulled up to our house for our week. After unpacking, we sat outside by the canal, had a drink and decompressed while watching the full moon over the trees. The house looks exactly like the pictures on the website. It's clean and all of the furniture is new and in good shape. All the beds were made and we had plenty of towels. Even though the temperature outside was only in the 70's, we could enjoy the pool as the solar blanket kept it warm enough to swim. The house seemed to be very recently renovated; consequently, a couple of small things could have been added to the amenities - like extra spoons and coffee mugs, some books/movies, etc. (We couldn't find the DVD player and used our computer to play our movies on the TV.)
Over the course of the week, we enjoyed visiting Key West, the Turtle Hospital, Crane Point, Theater of the Sea, and Sombrero Beach. We enjoyed some good seafood meals in Marathon. All grocery shopping and incidental needs were close by and easy to find. For those not familiar with the Florida Keys, Marathon is approximately a 2 1/2 hour drive from the Miami airport and an hour drive to Key West. On our way back to Miami Airport, we made a stop at the Everglades - an experience I'm glad we didn't miss.
I would definitely recommend this home to anyone. We enjoyed our experience in the Keys and it was a welcome respite from the snow in Virginia.
