It's often in the hidden corners of Paris's most famous areas that you'll find the best that the city has to offer; rue Quincampoix is one of those hidden treasures. Dating back to the 13th century, this narrow, winding and trendy street just west of the Pompidou Centre is the perfect distance from the bustling cobblestone streets of old Marais, as well as the vibrant cultural and artistic offerings of Beaubourg. This spacious, minimalist and modern apartment houses a beautiful kitchen and dining area, bathroom and separate WC, large living room, a double bedroom and a further study room with a convertible double sofa bed, accommodating up to four people overall. Sunlight streams through the floor-to-ceiling windows, illuminating the sophisticated furniture, simplistic and chic artwork, and the beautiful wooden beams overhead. A perfect combination of the traditional and the modern, from chandelier to fireplace, you'll fall in love with every last detail.
The owner of this property runs his own advertising film production agency. When he’s not behind the lens, Le Beaubourg is the perfect place for him and his wife to unwind in star style.
From the clean, bright lines of the designer kitchen and modern dining table, to the traditional and impressive wooden beams overhead, you'll feel perfectly comfortable rustling up food in this stylish, fully-equipped kitchen space. You'll find an oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, hob, expresso machine and all the necessary appliances to help you dine in style, as well as a washing machine and dining machine to help you clean up the evidence afterwards.
When you're ready to stretch out with a good book or recline in front of your street-view windows, head to the living room. With a smattering of modern, handpicked artwork, luxurious leather sofas, a huge HD TV and WiFi internet accessible throughout the property, you'll feel reluctant to leave.
Rituals goodies and fluffy KingofCotton towels await you in the luxuriously modern bathroom, fitted with a bathtub as well as a large walk-in shower and double sink. The double bedroom is similarly serenely simple, with plenty of closet space for any discerning fashionista, and the highest-quality bedsheets to ensure the highest-quality dreams. There's also a bedroom-cum-study next door with a convertible double sofa bed, so whether you're here for work, pleasure, or a handful of the two, you can decide what purpose this extra room can serve.

I have mixed feelings about this rental property. The apartment itself is very nice. It would have deserved 4-5 stars. It's in a great location near the Pompidou Center; close to shopping, restaurants, and convenient to the metro and several sites. The apartment is large and well-appointed. There are two bedrooms; one with a double bed and the smaller bedroom/office with a sleeper couch that my children said was fine. The bathroom is beautiful with a wonderful shower. The kitchen is large with plenty of utensils and plates. The only drawback of the apartment is the noise. There is a bar across the alleyway which was lively at night and the noise carried into the master bedroom.
The reason for the low rating was the poor service from Splendid Stay. After booking the apartment a few months before our trip and paying the entire fee upfront we heard nothing from the management. We requested help with making reservations for a day trip and some general questions...silence. We requested information regarding what to do upon arrival...silence. After a third email over 2 weeks went unanswered, we were becoming concerned that we had been scammed. Only after a phone call (that went to voice mail), did we receive a brief email with instructions.
Once we arrived to Paris we texted the two numbers provided as instructed - again no reply. After 2 phone calls we finally got an answer and were instructed to go to the apartment where we were shown in only after yet another phone call. The "professional" greeter was not very familiar with the apartment as he showed us around and when we asked where the advertised luxury toiletries were, he suggested we go out and buy some. To Adam's credit, he did show up later that evening with toiletries and an additional blanket.
In the apartment there was no iPhone for our use (actually no phone at all). There was no "Splendid Stay Guide." There was one outdated free neighborhood guide but no other travel information. Needless to say, we did not bother to use Splendid Stays "concierge" service.
Overall, when we chose this apartment , we felt were paying a premium for concierge service that, as it turns out, does not exist. We would stay in this location again but can not recommend Splendid Stay.
We highly recommend this apartment to friends and family. It was exactly as described and we had an absolutely great stay. It was perfect for our family of 4, with a great kitchen, modern bathroom and comfortable living room. Adam met us on the morning of our arrival and was extremely helpful with the apartment and restaurant recommendations and reservations. The location was outstanding, close to Metro, Pompidou and other attractions. Keep in mind, it is a city apartment (with a bar across the street) and can be a bit loud at times. We would stay here again!
My wife, two children and I stayed in this really beautiful place for two weeks in January. We absolutely loved the location in the Marais, opposite the Pompidou Centre, on a really charming street with plenty of local shops and delicious bakeries. The apartment is impeccable and provided us with everything we needed, from an iphone free of charge, several maps and guides of Paris, and a concierge service available at all time, we couldn't have wished for more. The Splendid Stay agency and our greeter were really easy to work with. They went out of their way to make sure that our stay was great in every possible way. They stocked our fridge before our arrival, arranged an airport transfer and made several restaurant bookings for us. The kitchen was really large and fully equipped and the bathroom had both a shower and a bathtub. My family and I really enjoyed our stay in this apartment and we'll definitely come back and recommend it to our friends!
We felt very fortunate to find Adam and his company SplendidStay after our first host cancelled our booking. Adam is a hardworking, conscientious and responsive host. Prior to arrival Adam, was helpful in providing satisfactory and speedy replies to our online queries. Adam is fluent in English so it was very easy to converse with him. Adam assisted with arranging airport and station transfers for both check-in and checkout, as well as fully stocking the apartment's fridge; my wife and I found this indispensable as it allowed us to make full use of our time and enjoy our stay. On arrival, Adam was personally available to meet us at the apartment (despite it being early on a public holiday), where he gave an overview of the property as well as some useful tips and literature about the area. For the rest of our stay, Adam was as equally responsive in helping us with general queries as well as providing excellent suggestions on dining venues; we were able to contact him via complimentary use of the phone he provided us with, which offered unlimited internet access (useful apps preloaded), text messages and local calls.
The apartment is well looked after and furnished in a contemporary style and further to this, Adam provided us with hotel-style bed linen (extremely comfortable bed), towels and bathroom amenities. We visited during winter and the apartment's heating was very efficient so we were never cold. Some of the conveniences not obvious in the properties description: Magimix Nespresso machine and bathtub with rain shower - both of which were indispensable for our stay. Steps away from the apartment were a produce market, excellent bakeries, fromageries and supermarkets, while the Pompidou Centre and Le Marais were literally opposite the apartment. Additionally, and important to note, my wife and I felt safe in the area and apartment during our entire stay.
Rue Quincampoix teeming with bistros, restaurants, cafés, bakeries and art galleries, so if a little Parisian relaxation is your thing, you're in luck. You're also surrounded by the very best of the city: Le Marais, the Pompidou Centre, Les Halles, rue Rambuteau and rue Montorguiel are your stylish neighbours. If you're more laconic than lively, Rambuteau and Châtelet Metro stations just a few minutes' walk from your apartment, enabling you to explore the rest of the city with perfect ease.
