Peaceful surroundings away from all the noise of town,
nestled in the tall, whispering pines of Prescott, you are secluded but not far from Historic Downtown Prescott that is only 10 minutes away! Only 3 miles to Goldwater Lake with fishing and boating and step out the door of the lodge to the National Forest with adventures in hiking, sight seeing, jeeping or quads. Plenty of room to park your trailers for quading or camping; bring it all!
We have a ping pong table, horse swing and tree house for the kids.
My husband and I were in the real estate business and saw multitudes of homes, but of all the homes that we have seen, he always told me...'If that home ever comes for sale, we are buying it'! And we did!!! This home is not one of those fancy, uptown showcase, model homes, BUT it IS a beautiful, comfy, cozy style lodge in a great location that soothes the soul and begs you to stay!
We were looking for a home close to town but still in the pines with room for the kids to play and not have to restrict them to a yard. This home was more than perfect; the kitchen was open and had everything we needed to prepare our meals. All the bedrooms were away from the kitchen, dining room and living room, so when my sister in law who is 5 months pregnant with twins needed to lie down and take a nap she was able to with no problem. The house and property were very clean from top to bottom, and I agree with a previous review I had read about the bath towels being so soft and fluffy.
We had taken our off road golf carts to do some trail riding but we actually only went on a few short rides. We had fun playing with the outdoor games that were provided there.
We decided to go for a walk around the house and while still on the property we came across 9 deer just walking around and checking things out behind the house. It was really neat to see them so close and not be afraid of us.
Sheri was very easy to communicate with and was more than helpful in so many ways with our trip. I would recommend this property to anyone looking to relax in a great home out in the tall pines but yet still so close to town.
We would love to go again
My family enjoyed this cabin so much - no one was ready to leave.
Everything we needed was there! All the cooking utensils and dishes one could ever need!
The property was very well maintained and very clean!
I called the owner because we could not get on wi-fi and she answered immediately and helped us and we never had an issue again.
We loved Rosas across the street from the town square and Dry Gulch Steak House was so much fun, as well as delicious!
I would definitely come again and certainly recommend this cabin to anyone!
This was a great place to stay - out in the woods far enough, yet only 10 or so minutes out of Prescott. Wonderful, clean cabin with everything you need, the kids especially liked the ping pong table. :) The owner, Sheri, was extremely nice too - she was very accomadating for our large family, and even surprised us with a holiday gift/goodie basket when we arrived. Thanks Sheri, we will definitely be staying again someday!
We really enjoy this lodge !!! Everything was clean , they have all the amenties and the communication with the owner is really friendly of, this is our second year going there and will be doing this again !!
The property was extremely well kept! Had everything we needed from pots and pans to cozy covers, extra towels an amazing treehouse for the kiddos and more. We even got some snowflakes while there! Thanks for sharing your place. Defintely a place we'd like to go back to.
It was a very comfy & downhome atmosphere. It was decorated well. The house was clean & very well maintained. The kitchen was amazing!! The appliances were so much better than ours. We were all jealous! 10 chatty women, crafting away. We set up tables in the living & dining room. We had plenty of space to spread out!! And the beds were very comfy too, which was a great plus! The one drawback was carrying suitcases, supplies, & everything up the incline, then into the house. Sherry was so sweet; she answered all our questions & got back to my emails or calls very promptly! It was everything Sherry said it was and more!! Will we come back, would we recommend it to friends - you betcha!!
We are located by many camps such as Friendly Pines, Pine Summitt, Whispering Pines, the YMCA camp, Prescott Pines, Camp Wamotochick, Camp Maripai and Prescott's Horse Camp. Send the kids to camp and you can be near them, but not too close, :) and be in complete comfort!
Across the street from the Goldwater Lake Lodge is the Historic School House for Groom Creek that is a great place for weddings, parties, picnics or any occasion. If you are planning on renting the School House for an event, our place, Goldwater Lake Lodge, is perfect for your headquarters!
You can also rent Goldwater Lake Lodge for events and day use!
