The Hill Cottage is perfect for active couples who intend to explore the numerous outdoor recreation possibilities that Acadia National Park has to offer. The owners of the Hill Cottage – Jeff Butterfield and Heather Murray -- are longtime residents of MDI and are a great resource for area information, particularly for visitors interested in outdoor activities. Jeff is the former owner of one of the area’s rock climbing schools (Atlantic Climbing School), as well as the author of the rock climbing guidebook to Acadia National Park. Both Jeff and Heather are also active as runners, cyclists, and hikers. Heather is an experienced and highly dedicated yoga teacher (at Cattitude yoga studio in Bar Harbor) and offers private yoga classes on the property in her beautiful yoga studio (please inquire separately and in advance of your stay to make arrangements by emailing Heather at firstname.lastname@example.org).
