The east wing, Aretina, (90 sq.m.) is named after the ancient road going to Arezzo.

At the ground floor you enter a large living room, with a vaulted ceiling and divided in two by a wide arch.

An ancient stone staircase leads to the first floor, with the two bedrooms: the double room enjoys the charming view of an old windmill tower.

The south wing, named Valdarno, (90 sq. m. ) overlooks the valley of the same name.

At the ground floor you reach a welcoming entrance from which you proceed, on the left, to the living room with its library, and to the right, to the large kitchen, with its original bread oven and its ancient wooden beams. The bedrooms are both on the first floor: the double room enjoys the view of the Vallombrosa mountains while the twin room overlooks the enchanting courtyard.

On the outer side of the courtyard of Casa Spiano, the entirely restructured Capanno faces the old olive grove, while the sunny terrace overlooks the slopes of the Valdarno.

At the groundfloor you enter the living room, leaning on one side against the original stone wall, and being warmed on the opposite side by the large fireplace. From the dining table you can enjoy the view of the valley.

The kitchen opens directly on the garden, inviting to dress the table under the olive tree.

On the first floor the double bedroom, looking east, gives access to the terrace; the twin bedroom, turned towards the courtyard is lightened by the old, traditional windows in florentine terracotta.

All together you will have 3 kitchen (very useful if you are many families), 4 to 6 double rooms and 4 to 6 bathrooms, 3 seating -eating rooms.

You will enjoy of the terrasse with the Pergola to eat outside or to have a BBQ...

Mother of 4 children... Very busy with them but enjoing every moment as well as enjoying every moment of holidays! We are often in Tuscany and understand very well the needs of families in holidays!

This property is in the family since generations... My grand parents went already there and all the other generations love to go there for holiday during the summer but also in other season to visit Florence when it is not so hot!

What makes this cottage unique

I love come to this place with my husband all our 4 children and our dog because we are in the same time in the surrounded from olive trees but very near to the village that makes much easier for the shopping and family organization, the pool is private that makes holidays real ones!!

On the border of San Donato in Collina, at only 14 km. from Florence and with a regular bus connection to the old town of Florence, Casa Spiano opens on a shady courtyard and is surrounded by olive plantations and old trees.

It is an old country house entirely restructured and restored: it has two wings, one looking to the south, the other to the east, and one dependance.

The swimming pool (6m x 12m and 1,20 m to 2,8 m) is located in a sunny corner of the garden surrounded by the olive trees. Heated with solar panels, it's open from the 1st of April to the 30th of October. The swimming pool is, for the children, secured by a fence.
