About Mike & Suzy
We built 'Cypress' in 1990 to raise our family. This family included children, parents, uncles, aunts, grandparents and even great grand parents! Cypress was the gathering place for many special social and family events over the years. Although it is too big for us now, friends and family simply will not let us part with it because of all the wonderful memories.
Mike & Suzy purchased this house in 1990
Why Mike & Suzy chose Reno
Cypress is within 5 to 10 minutes of everything in Reno without the heavy traffic and noise. The backyard is 'pie shaped' and opens to Hidden Valley Country Club, a private golf course.
What makes this house unique
Cypress was remodeled in the winter of 2012. This entailed all new furniture, bathrooms, carpets, linens, mattress & box springs, etc. You will literally be walking into a home which has not been lived in since the remodel. In addition, we remodeled this house with the idea that we would be staying here ourselves so there are full cooking facilities including an outdoor gas grill.
Guestbook comments from the owner
Hello Mike and Suzy,
We had the most WONDERFUL stay at your home on Cypress. What an amazing and comfortable house which helped to make our 50th Wedding Anniversary a family event that we will forever treasure. You certainly took care for every last detail. A mere "Thank You So Much" does not seem adequate. Our vow renewal took place on our wedding date on July 11th at the same church we were married--The First United Methodist Church on 1st St., downtown Reno. It is the oldest church in Reno. We had not visited Reno since we were first married and are happy to see some of the old architecture as we remembered. It surely did bring back old memories. The kids were able to do a variety of things since we had a total of 3 rental cars. They especially liked Lake Tahoe. Our son and grandson took one LONG day and drove to San Francisco. Our son is a faithful 49er fan and could not be this close without catching a glimpse of the new stadium with its final stages of build. If we decide to visit the Reno area again you can bet we'll try to rent from you. Oh, you need to get better pictures on your website. Your house exceeded the photos in every way!
