The main floor has floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors for views of the lake and hill country. Located on a cove, the boat dock is 2-stories and is ideal for swimming/boating and includes a grill, refrigerator and stereo for entertaining. The main house is perfect for entertaining with outdoor stereo on the top deck, grill, wine bar, and seating for guests outside to enjoy the views. The media room offers a cozy place to relax for a movie or football game, and the house is fully wired for Internet access. There is a 2-car garage and expanded driveway for your parking needs. I moved to Austin 15 yrs ago from Chicago and truly enjoy living in this city. I work at a medium-sized investment management company and frequently travel. When not at work, I'm outdoors - running around Town Lake, waterskiing, fishing and camping. I can do these activities almost year-round (went surfing on Lake Austin last December). My lakehouse is a great destination for people looking to enjoy all that Austin has to offer - views of downtown Austin and the hill country; swimming/boating/fishing on my boat dock; and less than 10 mins to downtown.

I would recommend this home to anyone. We had 4 couples and everyone slept comfortably. Chris was more than accommodating and we will definitely try to rent again!
Fantastic home to chill, relax, and have fun. House is in immaculate shape. We loved the patios and boat dock. The owner is extremely nice and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable. Super easy to get to downtown and easy lake access. I would highly recommend to friends and relatives.
We had a great time at Chris' lake house. It's conveniently located in Westlake hills, not far from 360 and not far from Red Bud, SoCo, and downtown areas. The house itself is super clean, nicely renovated, and has great views of the lake and surrounding hills. I communicated with Chris via txts while there and found him to be prompt and a pleasure to work with. I'd stay there again.
Chris was a great host and the home was a perfect set-up. We came for a bachelor party weekend. We were looking for a place to relax during the day that was close enough to town that it wouldn't be a pain to get in and out of downtown by taxi. The place was perfect!

My family's rental experience here deserves the highest rating possible. We truly felt at home away in this house rental.
It is a great fit for all ages ranging from 1 year old to 60+ year olds. There were 5 adults and 2 babies. We chose this over other home rentals/ hotels because it offers the most relaxing setting in the city for the price.
We were able to enjoy the hill country views from all the rooms on both stories of the house. Every room has a an outstanding view making it a real get away.
The luxury of the beautiful property is very notable. Everything from the architecture to the furniture pieces is apparently custom work. It looks and feels like a brand new home having been recently renovated in the last couple of years with custom luxury in mind.
The drive into the city is under 10 minutes with zero traffic nor highways. From the moment, we pulled out of the driveway, it is a very scenic drive from the lakeshore to downtown Austin. The neighborhood differentiates this house rental from any other. It is a very private, convenient, and gorgeous.
Aside from the lake view there is also an amazing downtown view. We enjoyed watching the sunsets over the hills surrounding the cove. The view is 24 hours, as the lights of the Austin skyline illuminate at night.
If you are looking to access the lake, then this home offers a lighted, stone stairs to the private boat dock. It is 2 stories. The top story overlooks the lake with a huge space for all 7 of us. It has chairs and a mini refrigerator. We went down there doing the day to soak up the Texas sun. It was warm enough so went down to the first story where there is a step ladder for entering in and out of the lake. We took the oldest baby in the lake and he was very upset, when it was time to get out.
We had originally planned on renting a boat for the weekend, but this was not necessary because of the lake access. We had all the benefits of enjoying the lake with an easy walk up the stairs back to the home. This saved us significantly on the cost of a boat rental.
Last but not least we never had to contact the owner for any reasons. There were instructions on everything from internet connection to opening the automatic blinds with the remotes. Everything was very clean and neat. It met and exceeded our expectations for accommodation.
We had such an awesome, memorable experience that we've already made plans to rent the home again soon. Both family and friends.
