Enter our lovely Victorian from the wrap-around porch with ski and coat racks inside the front door.

Foodies appreciate our fully equipped, state of the art kitchen complete with pro espresso and cappuccino maker, plenty of cabinet and granite counter space, and huge granite counter island plus large table suitable for gourmet dinner parties.

The laundry room is conveniently located right next to the cozy wood stove from the kitchen. Al fresco barbecue; firewood stacked off the patio with easy back door entrance.

Browse photos of our charmingly decorated 4 main bedrooms and 4 well-appointed bathrooms boasting oversize, heated, comfortable Jacuzzi’s. Choose your steam and spray settings in our luxurious showers.

Gather in the huge great room for ping pong, Foosball, cards, board games, X-box games or movies on our wide-screen TV (cable & DVR) or cuddle up in the bedroom(s) and channel-surf.

Extra guests, teenagers or little ones? Two full size futons located in the sleeping loft above the great room and two more in the master suite and great room. Configure to fit your group’s lifestyle and sleep schedules! Port-a-crib on premises or bring your own.

About Terri Scofield

A hard-charging, Long Island, NY gal, I grew up in Commack and Setauket and spent most of my adult life in the 'hurry and worry' Suffolk County culture of keeping up with the Joneses.

Up here, I'm a different person! Mellow, cheerful, not a care in the world.

Vermont is one of the most liberal and progressive states in the US, yet preserves and promotes the family values I hold most dear - honor, integrity and loyalty. This is a place that doesn't just TALK family values; the culture here values families.

Why Terri Scofield chose Ludlow

I was immediately enchanted by this house and it's proximity to Okemo and the town of Ludlow. I love not having to use the car to get to the mountain or into town. Since relocating to nearby Rutland, this house has become a vacation destination for family and friends year-round.

What makes this chateau / country house unique

I always wanted a Victorian with a wrap-around porch, and often turn down the heat to use the wood stove in the kitchen. When I'm lucky enough to score hickory or apple wood, the aroma is divine.

An early riser, I love to sit in the recliner at the east-facing window (or on the porch in summer) and greet the sunrise with a cup of coffee while the house is still quiet and I'm the only one up.

Yet there's plenty of room for the loud and boisterous gatherings of my large Italian family. I think it's that combination of being able to host lots of family and friends yet still have quiet niches when I need peace & quiet that made me fall in love with this place.
