Welcome to Anchor’s Rest, a fully self contained beach house situated in the village of Betela, Arorangi on the western side of the beautiful island of Rarotonga in the Cook Islands. This is a spacious home set in an acre of tropical gardens right on Betela beach, arguably the best beach on the island, so secluded you can go all day without seeing anyone.
As the name suggests Anchor’s Rest is a great way to getaway, rest & relax! This holiday house will be your home away from home. The sliding doors open from the lounge and dining room create a great indoor/outdoor feeling.
Enjoy great, balmy evening BBQ’s on the verandah overlooking lush lawns and gardens onto the awesome view of the beach, lagoon and sunsets. Great for sunbathing, snorkeling, kayaking, shell collecting and safe swimming for everyone, an outdoor shower will get rid off that sand and salt after a day at the beach.
Snorkeling gear and kayaks are provided with the property. Within walking distance are local dairies, Aroa Beach Inn containing the “Shipwreck Bar”, The Brunch Café, the Kavera Café and the Gallery.
Enjoy a fully equipped modern kitchen with dishwasher; fridge/freezer, microwave, stove with grill and an oven. The pantry is stocked with the basics to get your holiday off to a great start.
There is a separate laundry with a washing machine; there is an indoor clothesline in the garage as well as at outside back of the shed to catch the suns rays. Washing powder is provided for your use.
A Wifi internet connection for those workaholics who can’t leave the office behind or want to stay connected by email or on Facebook or MySpace . The house comes with a selection of books to read while relaxing as well as a selection of board and card games for your use.
A large lounge with loads of comfy seating is provided with TV, a Media player loaded with movies and stereo with CD player with MP3/Ipod connection, a selection of CD’s are all part of the package. Enjoy!
The large veranda with views over the lawn to the sea and sunsets has plenty of outdoor seating and comes with a modern BBQ for alfresco dinning and a daybed to enjoy that special book or magazine.
The house has 5 great sized bedrooms, the main bedroom with an ensuite. This has a king bed, the other bedrooms are located at the other end of the house and one with a super king which can be split into 2 king singles if required plus a cot, one with 2 singles, 1 with a single bed and off the veranda there is a room with a 1 with a queen sized bed. The spacious main bathroom services these rooms. Both bathrooms are fully renovated and modern.
The house also gets serviced every 3-4 days free of charge. All in all a great house at reasonable prices.
