This beautiful home can sleep up to 6 persons with use of Guest Cottage.

Located in the hills above of Santa Barbara between the city and the sea, this authentic adobe was built in the mid 1950's by master Adobero, Senor Aguilar. With panoramic views of the city and mountains and a peek of harbor, this welcoming home will provide you with the quintessential Santa Barbara vacation! You enter the property through old Mesquite Gates and descend to the private courtyard, complete with fountain, citrus trees and barbecue. This is a perfect spot for morning coffee, afternoon naps or a casual dinner. The main house has two bedrooms, each with a private bath. The master has a king bed, and the second bedroom has a queen. The kitchen is beautifully appointed with a Viking range and professional appliances for any discriminating cook. On the view side of the property you will find a terrace and 'sit in' stone fire pit with stunning vistas of the city and mountains. The property also has a guest cottage that can accommodate two more persons. It contains an extra long twin trundle, full bath, and secluded terrace with mountain and city views. (PLEASE NOTE THAT THE USE OF THE GUEST COTTAGE IS ONLY AVAILABLE WITH STAYS OF 30 DAYS OR LONGER.) The home is less than a 7 min drive to the beach or downtown and has three flat screen TV's with satellite HD TV service, internet access, central heat and off street parking.

A WONDERFUL RESPITE!

After my husband and I turned the key to enter the home, I rushed to the french doors to take in the fabulous view of Santa Barbara. We had just returned from wine country so promptly open a bottle before taking a full tour of the home and grounds. The home has such a quiet sophisticated yet comfortable "kick your shoes off" feel...the furniture, the well appointed kitchen (love the cookbooks), the basket upon arrival, the warm colors, etc. We ventured out each day of our stay but hurried back so that we could relax and enjoy. We are two hard working people and this was just the spot for a bit of respite. Thank you Mark for the attention you've given to this home. You made two people very happy.

WONDERFUL HOSPITALITY!

Our family had a truly outstanding vacation at the Hilltop Adobe. We loved cooking in the beautifully appointed kitchen, and spent many hours together in the large kitchen / dining / living room. We also loved our relaxed meals on the porch looking out over a breathtaking view of Santa Barbara. Mark was a warm and terrific host, and I appreciated his willingness to add an extra day to our stay. It was wonderful hospitality from start to finish.

Mark has done an AMZING job with this home! Everything was clean and updated - we had absolutely no issues with anything. The house itself is something you would find in Architecture Digest. The furnishings and decor made it feel like we were staying at a 5-star resort! Incredible views and courtyard for dining or catching some rays. Mark was available for any questions and very responsive through the whole process. We will absolutely be coming back here!

PERFECT RETREAT!

Hilltop Adobe exceeded our expectations to say the least. The setting is so very private and yet conveniently located to all that Santa Barbara has to offer. The house itself is spacious, the centerpiece of which is the great room that spans almost the entire length of the home, but still manages to feel comfortable and cozy. In addition there are several outdoor seating areas from which one may enjoy the amazing views, share a meal, or just sit and do nothing. The two bedrooms, located at opposite ends of the house from each other, ensure absolute privacy for guests staying here. Several flat screen TVs, a wonderful sound system and a huge fireplace all contribute to the enjoyment of those lucky enough to spend some time at Hilltop Adobe. Mark is skilled at making sure his guests have the best experience possible.

A WONDERFUL HOME

When you go to beautiful Santa Barbara your plan is to visit the Mission, the Courthouse, the Beaches, State Street…..well, when you stay at Marks’ Hilltop Adobe its actually hard to leave the home. My 3 friends, of over 30 years, and I stayed for 3 nights and found ourselves relaxed in every part of the house. We spent our mornings on the back porch, cooking in the kitchen (that has everything), dancing to music in every room (great sound system) and evenings in the courtyard-with streaming lights and a beautiful fountain. It truly is a special home, hidden in the hills of SB, the flow from the inside to outside space creates a warm atmosphere and the professionally designed décor is authentic, welcoming and cozy. And Mark, well, there is a reason this home feels the way it does!
