We found this rental comfortable and well-suited for a family with grown children and grandchildren. Each family branch can be accommodated in different wings of the house, each with its own bathroom facilities. The yard is spacious and great for kids' games. We were disappointed, however, that we did not have access to the nearby beach, as advertised. The beach was cordoned off for restoration efforts from the effects of hurricane Irene the year before. In light of the damage wreaked on the Atlantic coastline from Sandy (Oct. '12), we would advise that you check with the town of Branford about the status of beach access at Pine Orchard for 2013 rentals.

Owner's Response: Hello and thanks for the review. We apologize for the inconvenience with regards to the beach access. There are several other locations to access the beach and we should have given you the directions to them as they are all within walking distance from the house. The access at the end of our street is anticipated to be reopened in 2013.
