The 'house' is not a house its a unit within the 'house'. So you are sharing walls with others that are renting. Therefore, the pool is not private but shared. We were notified day of arrival that the HOA shut the pool down. The pool was completely drained and taped off. I contacted our rental person and haven't heard back as of today. Unacceptable since the pool was a main criteria in our search to rent. We rented the house for a Bachelorette weekend of festivites and two people flew in from Cali and everyone else drove in. So it put a slight wrench in our plans. Also, there are probaby 40 stairs. 20 going up and 20 to get down to the living room and kitchen. The 3rd floor toilets were not working properly and were hit and miss each flush. The unit is nice overall, and we enjoyed our stay BUT there were many things not mentioned and not working so I felt this property is falsely advertised.
Owner's Response: While we appreciate that this tenant enjoyed their stay and said our home was nice overall, it is too full of inaccuracies that need to be corrected. The home is listed as a large 4 bedroom condo similar to a townhome. It is not rooms within a house. There are only 10 steps leading down to the living room from the main floor and a single flight of stairs that lead up to the 2 upstairs bedrooms, not 40. Our listing photos do a good job of referencing this. Also, during this rental the pool was still closed for winter and the temperatures were still very cold in the 50's which made the pool unusable. The fact that the tenant did not disclose this and the fact that they used it as their main complaint is disconcerting. They also claimed that noone was responsive to their complaints, however, they did not contact us about anything until after they had checked out. I also asked the maid staff to check the toilets and all were working properly. I can only guess that this group was attempting to use our services and then use the threat of a poor review to get their stay for free after checking out, as that was their main concern when they did contact me after they had already "enjoyed their stay" in our "nice" home.
We encourage all customers to not hesitate to contact us if they need anything at all as our goal is to provide your family and friends a wonderful space to celebrate being together and we do our best to make sure your stay is just that.
