We had the best vacation at this home! The pictures don't do to place justice- it's a lot bigger than it seems and there's a few great updates to the home that aren't shown. My husband and I had a great time entertaining on the back patio and my son & dog loved being able to play and run in the ample yard. The fire pit was excellent at night too. The outdoor shower was pretty cool too. The furniture and decor was great as was the updated technology of an otherwise classic beach home. There was so much available in the home already that we truly only needed to bring linens (great books, guides, and games were already there). So comfortable and so close to everything. The beach was a short walk away and one does not really need to venture outside Dennis for good food, great beaches, and awesome things to do (rail trail, ice cream, kayaking, shopping) - but if you do, everything else is a short trip away. You'll need a parking sticker for the Dennis beaches but we didn't really use them much. The owner was extremely helpful and got back to all my inquiries quickly. She said she hoped it would be a memorable vacation and it most certainly was - haven't had that much fun since I was a kid! It was our first summer rental and such a great experience.
We had a great week in this cozy cottage. After the beach, we enjoyed taking a shower in the outdoor shower, grilling and relaxing on the patio. We even rode our bikes to Sundae School one day! Our best memory was announcing our pregnancy using the Scrabble board to my sister-in-law! We will definitely be back again! Thank you for a great vacation!
We enjoyed our stay at this West Dennis Cape. The living room was plenty roomy for chatting and playing games, the beds were comfortable, we liked having morning coffee in the sun porch surrounded by maps of Cape Cod, and particularly liked sitting at the round table on the back patio for lunch and at the end of the day for cocktail hour. The house is very clean and in a quiet neighborhood, close to the beach and all the Cape has to offer. We hope to come back.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this comfortable West Dennis home. We found the house to have plenty of space for our family; we played horse shoes in the backyard pit, dined on the outdoor patio regularly, and played games. We had easy access to the beach (and got to see huge seals in the ocean!), restaurants, and mini golf. If you're looking for comfort, coziness, and accessibility, you'll surely enjoy yourself here.
My family and I have stayed in this cozy and comfortable home a couple of times. We loved playing games at the kitchen table, dining on the back patio, and the outdoor shower is a treat! The house is in a nice neighborhood that is safe for children, walking, and bicycling. It is also in a wonderful location for exploring the rest of the Cape. We visited many of the beautiful local beaches, went to the drive-in movie theater, the Cape Cod chip factory, Provincetown, Hyannis, and Chatham. It's a great place!
Play golf at Dennis Highlands or Dennis Pines, kayak on Swan River, and ride your bike on the Rail Trail that runs from West Dennis to Wellfleet. Visit the Visitor Center Museum then hike to see seals frolic just off the beach. Watch fishermen unload their catch at the Chatham Fish Pier, then stroll downtown Chatham for shopping and lunch. Visit Truro Vineyards for a tour and wine tasting then have lunch or dinner on their property with their beautiful vineyards as a backdrop. Drive to Provincetown to tour the town and discover their amazing beaches at the tip of Cape Cod. Don't forget to play mini-golf in Yarmouth for the true tourist activity! Cottage is set on the end of a cul-de-sac and borders on conservation land, providing privacy rare on Cape Cod, as well as no street noise. The cottage contains 3 bedrooms, a living room, kitchen, bath and sunroom. Stone patio (20x24) is the perfect spot for anything from morning coffee to evening Happy Hour and dinner, complete with gas grill, horseshoes and a fire pit. Over-sized yard is wonderful for children and the neighborhood is very family friendly. Take a relaxing outdoor shower after the beach in the enclosed shower area.
