-The blue barn is a home that is so pleasurable that it just needed to be shared with others. All the amenities of home are provided.This home was purchased after several years renting as a vacation rental. Could it be the dream home for you? If interested in buying our home please inquire.

-If you like water activities this is the lake for you. Tournament fishing with many fish stocked including crappie, bass, and stripes. Cherokee Dam view is directly across from the couch, deck, screen porch, and our personal floating dock. Water play like tubing, skiing, swimming, and jet skiing can occur. Pontoon rentals are available at Black Oak Marina.

-Catering can be arranged through Lisa's Country Kitchen in Jefferson City. Wal-mart is located nearby.

Area attractions include: Carson Newman College, Walter State Community College, University of Tennessee, Dollywood, Tennessee Smokies, Cades Cove, Pigeon Forge outlet shops, Women's Basketball Hall of Fame, and much more.

Cherokee Lake was a lake i enjoyed boating, fishing, and camping on since my childhood. A lake front home is an awesome. It is much like a mountain chalet or a condo on the beach.

What makes this house unique

Simply put a home away from home for all that chose to enjoy this home, the blue barn. The blue barn is very relaxing and is great place to escape, enjoy play on the water, fishing, nature walks, or a book while sitting on the screen porch. It is located near Carson Newman College and if you need any kind of entertainment or shopping Pigeon Forge is within one-hours drive

Loved everything about this property. It was clean and comfortable. The view from the deck is perfect. Spent most of our time there enjoying that view. Owner was super helpful regarding an item left at the property and seeing that it was returned promptly. Will definitely recommend this place to others and would like to return here as soon as possible.

Great house on the lake!

We really enjoyed staying in this house. It has a great view of Cherokee lake and has a private dock where I moored my boat. The house was well-maintained, with great central air conditioning. It has a nice large gas grill on the deck, perfect for our family gathering. The owner was very helpful and available but I never needed to contact her because there were no problems during my stay.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Third Time Visitor

This was our third visit to the Blue Barn. We had a 10 month old, 7 year old, and an 8 year old with us. We always have the best time boating on the lake, fishing on the dock, or just hanging out at the house. We usually cook almost every night and the kitchen appliances are nice and up to date. We ate out on the deck every night that we cooked. I was never stressed with the deck's safety. I never felt that my children were in any danger while spending time on the deck. The house was clean and we really liked the linens being provided, it really was nice not to have to bring your own:) There were a couple of spots on the carpet near the kitchen table (looked like liquid spills), but with a shampoo they should clean up fine. The carpet upstairs was very clean. The owner has always been very helpful and more than willing to answer any questions or concerns. We would definitely recommend this property to others.

Breathtaking view, great location!
Appliances and decor very outdated!
Very dirty (cobwebs every where, fridge smelly, carpets horrible etc.)
Deck had dangerous steps and railings to far apart was very dangerous and constant stress making sure are little ones were safe.
Beautiful landscaping but no place for the kids to play.
Recommended for:  Sightseeing
Owner's Response: The house is equipped with all the necessary the necessary appliances including stove, refrigerator, microwave, television,dvd. satellite, and waher/dryer. The television is not a flat screen, however, provides a quality picture. The decor for the house incudes for queen size mattresses, one of which is a memory foam mattress. Cobwebs? They are a part of our cleaning each and every time with an occaisonal visit by lady bugs and wasp. The "carpet" which is being referenced is the path followed to and from house to the back deck.The carpet is wore, however, rest assured it is clean. The deck had just been pressure washed, stained and sealed. The lighting had not been put back up due to needing to replace many of them. Additionally, the railing meets county building codes.I pride myself on having a warm, inviting environment upon entering our home.
