1 bedroom plus study house - private backyard and sundeck

A charming split level, fully furnished, 2 bedroom house in the inner city area of Sydney.

ROZELLE:

Access to Sydney CBD (Town Hall or Queen Victoria Building) takes only 5 to 10 mins by bus or car (or you can even walk over the Anzac Bridge). There are many parks in the areas where you enjoy a refreshing morning walk.

The Property:

Located only 2 minutes walk from the Rozelle village with many shops, cafes, wine bar, post office, bank, supermarket and transport, this house offers convenience, conviviality of neighbourhood, as well as tranquility.

Originally a 2 bedroom house, the ground floor bedroom has been transformed into a study. The ground floor of the house accomodates a study/guest room, the living area, and a dine-in kitchen. The house is extremely clean and freshly painted. Different floor surfaces for different areas: while the study room has a semi polished concrete floor, the flooring of the living area is a warm timber surface and the kitchen has a white terrazo finish.

The bathroom with internal laundry (front loader Bosch washing machine) is situated on the middle floor and opens to a timber sun deck. There is no electric dryer but a fresh and airy cloth line on the sun deck. A hair dryer is provided.

The master bedroom is on the top floor and accommodates lots of storage space.

The house comes fully furnished with bed linen, bath towels and bath mat, all kitchen ustensiles and ironing facilities. Some basic groceries are in the pantry to get you going. However, if you don't feel like cooking there are many healthy food providers on the main street (Darling Street) from which you can organise take-away food.

The house is fitted with gas heating for the winter months and portable fans for hot summer nights!

If you have a car for the duration of your stay with us just let us know and we will give you while you are staying at the house a visitor parking permit that will allow you to park the car in the street or area without worrying about time limits.

We accept pets in the property but we require to be advised at the time of booking.

Preferred check-in time is 2pm and check-out time 11am but we will try to accommodate your requirements when possible (no change-over on the day).

A wonderful relaxing stay in Roselle

We had a wonderful stay in the Roselle neighborhood on our recent visit to Sydney. Brigit who is a charming and friendly hostess greeted us when we arrived and gave us a tour of the apartment and a short walk around the Roselle area which is quiet and charming. We loved the friendly neighborhood atmosphere. The apartment is quite comfortable and has a lot of artistic charm. The enclosed garden and view of the famous Sydney Harbor bridge from the upper balcony are delightful. The morning lorikeets in the trees are amazing. Having a washing machine and WIFI access were also very much appreciated. It was very easy to take a combination of bus/ferry transportation to both Darling Harbor and the Circular Quay. The bus ride to the Balmain East ferry dock was very interesting and the driver and passengers were quite helpful. We enjoyed browsing at the Saturday market which is two blocks away on Darling Street by the school. There are a plethora of small ethnic restaurants, bakeries and fruit and produce markets on nearby Darling Street. We enjoyed a very nice dinner at the Harvest Vegetarian restaurant which is two blocks away on Evans Street. We loved our visit to Sydney and will always remember Roselle. Cab drivers use GPS so you don't have to worry about finding the apartment from the airport.

Sydney stay made easy.

This was one of our very best experiences renting through VRBO. This little cottage in Rozelle was in an excellent location, spotlessly clean and beautifully appointed. We felt it was nicer than the photos on the listing indicated. The area is abundant with good restaurants (love.fish on Darling St. in particular) and cafes within very short walking distance and is in a safe environment. A quick bus or ferry ride into the centre of the city. Briget, our landlady was delightful and most helpful. We would recommend this property to anyone and definitely hope to have a return visit ourselves.

Located only 5 kms from Sydney CBD by bus or by car/taxi, Rozelle has become a buzzing and popular destination within the last few years, attracting a young crowd of homeowners as well as slew of fantastic shops and restaurants. Rozelle is known for its narrow, windy streets that are paved with terraces, weatherboard cottages and charming freestanding homes. Amongst these streets are some of the best pubs and restaurants in Sydney.

Rozelle is the perfect place to have breakfast, lunch or coffee and to simply sit and listen to live music. It is also now the home of great bakers, patisseries and chocolatiers.

Rozelle is also reknown for its weekend markets that have become Sydney's favourite second hand market. On Saturdays you can expect to find a fantastic array of all things second hand from antiques and collectibles to garage sales. On Sundays all that, plus lots of vintage and pre loved clothes, often you will find designer labelled clothes selling for a fraction of the retail cost.

Public transport is very convenient with ferry and bus connections to Circular Quay and the CBD.
