This house is set in the countryside in an urbanization of rural Spain looking over an olive orchard to the glorious Mediterranean. It has its own walled garden with a private pool and it is only a short walk to the beach (5 min).
Chilches-Benajarafe is unique as the Eastern Costa del Sol, called Axarquia, is still very much rural Spain, no highrise just fruit trees and goat herders hear the bells of the goats at dusk. Yet you can also walk to the local supermarket.
Bars, restaurants, waterslides, go carting, fishing, horse riding, exclusive shopping and markets are all within 10 to 15 minutes drive from this house. Or head for your favorite golf course. Anoreta Golf is under 5 minutes drive from the house.
Nearby Rincon de la Victoria is famous for its night markets during summer and bars and restaurants. It has wonderful bars with music and food on the beach. Try the seafood cooked as you watch!
The house is just over an hour to famous Granada and 20 minutes to Malaga, home of Picasso. Enjoy the historic city with its lovely parks, Phoenician, Roman and Moorish ruins, narrow alleys and gorgeous food. Malaga airport is at 30 minutes and the high-speed train takes you from Malaga to historic Cordoba in just one hour. Nerja with its stunning caves and sheltered beaches is at 20 minutes drive from the house.
Alternatively pop up to Lake Vinuela for a mountain lunch overlooking the lake or head to white Spanish villages like Frigiliana with its unique olive oil nestled in the mountains behind.
Back home relax by your private pool looking out to palm trees and banana plants or watch the dusk over the olive orchard as the Mediterranean changes its colors.
