Best choice ever

We are two retired teachers from Germany and spent two weeks in this beautiful condo. We have been many times in Big Island, having stayed in Kona, Waikoloa, Waikoloa Beach and Keauhou.
This condo is by far the best we had ever had. It is excellent equipped, has comfortable beds and a fully stocked kitchen. Every morning we made a wonderful paradise-like breakfast on the lanai with tropical fruits, Kona Coffee, fresh baked sourdough baguettes, which we picked up early from Foodland at the shops at Mauna Lani two minutes away. We loved the automatic ice-dispenser and the quite lanai, were we spent our happy hour with stunning views of the sunset over the golf course. It´s fantastic calm and you can wonderfully relax.
There are a good working air conditioning system (quiet!) and ceiling fans. The WLAN-router worked excellent with the code we got from Alan.
The best is the access to the private beachclub of the Mauna Lani resort. There is a nice sandy beach with all amenities, fine snorkeling and lots of possibilities for walking or jogging along the wonderful coastline. I walked along the fishermen´s trail, around the ancient fishponds, watched turtles, which were resting on the lava rocks and took a lot of pictures from the Ironman triathlon in Kona.
Shopping is very easy because the shops at Mauna Lani (1 mile) or the Queen Marketplace or the Kings Shops at Waikoloa Beach(5 miles) are very fast to reach.
We did not cook in the kitchen or grill on the lanai, although all the facilities looked very amazing, but tried out the restaurants with the Pacific Rim Cuisine – we love for ever. In Germany there is no possibility to enjoy a Hawaiian Fusion or Polynesian cuisine – grilling steaks from Argentinian beef is not a problem in our garden at home.
The best was the Canoe House at the Mauna Lani Hotel, then the Browns Beach House in the Fairmont Hotel, the Bamboo Restaurant in Hawi, Café Pesto and the Seafood Bar in Kawaihae. Roy´s Restaurant at the King´s Shops is quite well too, but its very crowded every time, hectic and loud. We were disappointed about Huggo´s on the Rocks and the Merriman´s Café.
We´ll hope coming back in the next years because the sunny South Kohala Coast is the best strip of the Big Island and the Mauna Lani Golf Villa H2 is the best choice in this area.
