You will love this beautiful, custom-built, fully-furnished contemporary home located in Crestview--a charming, 1960's era neighborhood. It is nestled in the heart of central Austin, where you will enjoy being just down the street from many local cafes and restaurants, as well as the famous Alamo Drafthouse--a movie theater and restaurant showing first run movies.
The Crestview neighborhood has lots of small town charm...our little shopping center looks like a tree-lined town square. The center boasts Crestview's own ''Little Deli''--it has a shady eating area where locals and visitors relax and enjoy great ''New York Style'' pizza and delicious sandwiches. The center also has a well-stocked grocery store, a pharmacy, dry cleaners, beauty salon and a barber shop.
The Anderson House is in a great location--you can be anywhere in Austin within 10-20 minutes.
Whether you are heading downtown to catch some live music on Austin's 6th Street, or going to a football game at the University of Texas, you can be there in no time.
Going downtown? Austin's new commuter train...the Metro (Crestview Station)...is only 5 minutes away and will take you downtown during the week or to the University of Texas.
There are lots of nearby retail stores, restaurants; Anderson House is only a few minutes to Austin's newest upscale, large shopping center, ''The Domain''.
Whether you want to sit and read a good book, surf the web or watch a movie on the 52'' Plasma, there's plenty of room for everyone to gather in the comfortable family room and large eat-in kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need--coffee-maker, microwave, side-by-side refrigerator, electric stove. It also has its own 26'' Flat Screen TV.
Just outside the family room is a cozy covered patio with a private garden where you can relax and grill your dinner on the gas grill. The patio has a table and chairs for outdoor dining.
The master bedroom has its own private bath with a beautifully tiled, large walk-in shower, double sinks and lots of custom cabinets. Bedrooms two and three have queen beds and share a large hall bathroom with double sinks and a tiled tub with shower. The bed linens are Egyptian cotton, the mattresses new and comfortable. The house is exceptional clean, lovingly-cared for, and well managed.
Anderson House is also perfect for people relocating to the Austin area and great for formal or casual entertaining. However, this is a family neighborhood, so please no loud music or parties.
The Anderson House has, since its construction (2009) been a VRBO; it has been a HomeAway/VRBO listing for that length of time and has a history of 5-star reviews; these were posted until the property came under new ownership necessitating a new listing.

Anderson House is an incredible property. When I discovered that the previous owners wanted to sell it and move on to other vistas, I jumped at the opportunity. I instantly fell in love with the quality of the design, the integrity of the construction, and the attention to detail that the previous owners invested in building and maintaining the Anderson House. Anderson House already had posted on this site 24 visitors' reviews dating back to 2009 (its opening) -- all with 5 star quality, so I knew that visitors experience the same appreciation for Anderson that I fell in love with. The Anderson House has been a natural choice; it is head and shoulders above all the other properties I reviewed before making a selection. I walked through the Anderson House and instantly knew this house provides the type of environment I want for my guests - I did not hesitate a moment. I invite you to share this experience with me.
The Anderson House provides a unique blend of a quaint neighborhood and ready access to the hip urban experience. That blend is what makes Austin so special. The Crestview neighborhood is both urban and serene. The house is nestled among spots that reflect this duality- the Crestview Amtrak station, Crestview shopping center with its famous little deli, Barlett's, La Fonda San Miguel and a plethora of restaurants of all ilks. The Domain and the Arborteum are at hand, Outlet Malls within a short drive, and it is only a quick hop to Sixth Street and Austin's live music scene, clubs, Townlake with all its trails and biking, UT university, and the downtown /South Congress venues. Everything happening in Austin is within close range of the Anderson House, and the real bonus is the house is so well-constructed, it is quiet and serene inside- you would think you were alone. Whether seeking solitude or excitement, the Anderson House provides the best of both worlds - for me it was an obvious choice; I hope it will be an obvious choice for you too.
