Pleasure Island has many attractions to suit your needs. A large state park with boat ramps, hiking trails and camp sites is located on the back of the island. Ft. Fisher Aquarium and Historic area is located on the south end of the island as well as a N. C. Ferry which travels between Southport and Ft. Fisher.

In Carolina Beach there is a large marina with charter boats of all sizes offering charter fishing trips plus evening dance cruises.

The many marshes are a kayakers dream. Rentals are available for your kayaking needs. The basin area of the Ft. Firsher Historic area are perfect for wind and kite surfing.
