Waterfront at Mayo Beach!

This cozy cottage is one of only 20 free standing units at the Wellfleeter and has a spectacular waterfront view of Cape Cod Bay out of a large picture window in the living room. There will new living room furniture and flat screen TV delivered in April for Summer 2013! Updated photos to follow! One bedroom, with two twin beds, also has a nice water view. The second bedroom has a double bed. The kitchen and bathroom have recently been remodeled and you will find the cottage to be nice and clean! Private steps lead you down to a bay beach next to Mayo Beach for swimming, boating, fishing, shell fishing, or just plain relaxing!

If you haven't been to the Outer Cape and Wellfleet in particular, you are in for a treat! Over 60% of the town is protected as National Seashore so there is lots of undeveloped land for hiking, biking and bird watching. The beaches are some of the best anywhere. In places Wellfleet is only 3 miles wide with Bay beach on one side and Ocean on the other. When the tide is low you can walk way out on the bay side flats collecting shells or actually go clamming. Sit at Mayo Beach at a picnic table and watch the oystermen tending to their oyster grants. The ocean side is great for boogie boarding or even surfing at times. In the summer the days are usually warm and the nights cool. Enjoy the beautiful stars or get a permit and have a beach bonfire! If you are lucky enough to be here for a full moon you can watch the full moon rising while sitting on the ocean beach listening to the waves crash.
