Located at the quiet end of the Marina Peninsula (but close to all the activity), on a beautiful tree-lined walk street with open views to the golden sand beach and sparkling ocean, you simply cannot find a more exciting location to spend your well-earned California vacation. Walk 1 block to the jetty where Marina del Rey meets the Pacific Ocean…sit and watch the sailboats, yachts and kayaks come and go. It’s great for people watching, too! Walk or bike (2 bikes provided) a few minutes north to the Venice Beach boardwalk and participate in or enjoy watching the activities surrounding you – roller blading, bicycling, jogging, skate boarding. You might even catch a tv show or movie being filmed. Swim, sunbathe, take long beach walks, enjoy the beautiful sunsets, boogie board, bodysurf, kayak, fish – your choice – it’s all right here. Or just relax at home on the serene roof top deck while absorbing the beauty surrounding this charming getaway.
This 3+ level - 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom home has an elevator for those of you who don’t like stairs. There is a second living area and deck on the top level. Best-at-the-Ocean has a very open and spacious floor plan, decorated in a combination of Asian style and casual beach living. You get it all - sun, sand and zen. Two reserved, tandem parking spaces come with Best-at-the-Ocean.
With its Asian feel, this elegant, and comfortable vacation rental is architecturally interesting. One level up from the entry, is a large, very private master suite with a king bed and its own ensuite bath with shower. Going up another level, you will find a living/dining room combination, a kitchen and a second bedroom with a queen bed and bath with shower. There is a gas-burning fireplace in the living room. An elevator takes you from the entry level and can stop at the master bedroom and at the living room level. For those who wish to dine at home, the kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances and comes stocked with spices, cooking oils, and a pantry of condiments. All you need to do is supply your favorite fresh foods and drinks. A few steps up from the main living room, on another level, is a spacious rooftop den and deck with comfy sitting areas, a desk and windows all around. From here, there is access to a large sunny deck. The views are wonderful.
A 5-minute drive brings you to shopping in Marina Del Rey and Venice Beach. Santa Monica is next door. Visit the nearby farmers markets or enjoy eating Italian, Mexican, Thai, seafood, pizza or local dishes in quaint Marina Del Rey, Venice Beach and Santa Monica. Walk or bike the picturesque canals of Venice Beach.
If you wish to keep in touch with the world outside, we provide wireless and wired high-speed broadband internet (printer is connected to the network). For your recreation pleasure, there are 2 bicycles for your use.
