This lovely home evocative of France, has 3 bedrooms, each with a king-sized, queen sized and twin beds. The owner (founder of Simple Slips) has provided every amenity for her guests. The location is ideal for exploring Main St. shops and Museums or the surrounding wineries and park areas nearby.
Texan Debbie Phillips has traveled extensively to France where she acquired antiques for her B & B. These trips also inspired her business, Simple Slips, for which she has been featured in Victoria, Country Living, and Home Companion magazines, as well as a segment on HGTV.
Debbie Phillips purchased this house in 2006
This unique property had an existing Bed & Breakfast and travel in France inspired the owner to recreate her experiences there in the Texas Hill Country.
The enclosed, private patio and courtyard is ideal for relaxing in a serene and quiet setting.
Enjoyed our family reunion so much.
What a perfect place for us all to get together.
Relaxed atmosphere and homey feel.
We came into town for a special family celebration and to welcome my son home from the Navy. This place was AMAZING! Clean, spacious, comfortable and decorated exactly to my wife's tastes...Shabby Chic. We had an incredible four days here and Debbie was so accommodating. When we get the chance, we'll definitely be back. Thank you, Debbie, for your generous hospitality.
We spent Christmas weekend here with another couple and the house was perfect! Very clean, plenty of room for up to at least 6. Nice full sized kitchen that was great for cooking some of our meals, super comfortable beds, and nice living space!
If you are looking for a good base for visiting the hill country this is a great option!
We had six ladies here for the weekend. This house was PERFECT! It is so charming, clean, and comfortable. I wouldn't stay anywhere else. It's in a great location to downtown and so cozy.
What an amazing "little bit of France" escape is this remarkable home! Pictures just don't relay the coziness and the feel of La Maison. There were five girls who made this our annual trip and we were all so blown away by our accommodations. Debbie is such a sweet and helpful host! We had a ball strolling in town, stomping grapes and hanging out in Luckenbach. We would then come back to our little haven and sip wine, laugh and enjoy the ambiance! We will definitely be back and recommend this to many of our friends.
What an awesome retreat. Four of us ladies stayed here and just loved it. Spotlessly clean, beautiful flowers, lots of space, tastefully decorated.....what more can I say. Everything you need right down to the wonderful hand lotion. Debbie has thought of everything. The patio is wonderful after a hard day of wine tours and shopping. If you visit Fredericksburg you must stay here. I give it a ten star rating!!!!!!
We loved our visit here. Feels like home, welcoming and comfortable. Debbie has thought of everything. Especially creative decor inside and out. All three couples look forward to visiting again.
The climate is optimal for grapes and peaches. There are many local wineries giving tours and samples. There are numerous antique shops, and restaurants on Main St. Fredericksburg has the newly dedicated Museum of the Pacific, and the Pioneer Museum. For the adventuresome, there is the newest TX State Park, Enchanted Rock. A huge, pink granite dome, rises 425 feet above ground, 1,825 feet above sea level, and is one of the largest batholiths in the United States. There is a flat trail at its base, as well as the possibility of climbing the rock to the summit. Birdwatching is exceptional as the TX Hill Country is on the migratory path.
