The soft, sandy beach and blue lake water nearby will be irresistible. South Haven's Oak Street Beach is 1/2 block and a one minute walk away.

The Oak Street Beach House is located on South Haven's picturesque near north side. It is a pleasant stroll to downtown shopping and restaurants, to the Black River, and to all beach attractions. Convenience is an understatement.

About The Owner

My wife and I enjoy having a relaxing getaway location such as South Haven for our children and grandchildren to enjoy with us. We very much like to offer our home as a vacation rental so that others can enjoy the same experience. It's so handy to the beach and all of the other local attractions.

South Haven and the locale along Lake Michigan is beautiful, and offers a relaxing getaway not only to vacation renters but also to my family.

What makes this house unique

The community and the neighborhood is very friendly and low key. The natural beauty of the lakefront is definitely beneficial. It is not only a great opportunity to relax while staying in our home, but there are many ways to get in some exercise while walking the beach or to other attractions.

The beach house is fabulous and the owners have met every need imaginable. We stayed two weeks last year in June and are going back this year. The location puts you within reach of everything and the beach is less than a block away, my grandchildren all enjoyed it as I did. The house is immaculent and well kept and the owners are good to work with and honest. Highly recommend this vacation spot

Charming house, steps from a beautiful beach.

I had a wonderful week at the Oak Street Beach House August 2012 with my two young children and my parents. The house is charming, clean, and has everything you could want, including a grill, outside shower, lots of sand toys and beach chairs. The beds were very comfortable. The location is amazing, two houses from a beach that has soft white sand and never got very crowded.

One confusion for me is that the sun room and 3rd bedroom are one and the same, and did not contain a bunkbed when we were there, not that that really mattered. The washer and dryer are in the basement, and accessed from a door at the back of the house. This made doing laundry during a rainy spell a little challenging.

All in all, this home more than fit my family's needs. I would recommend it without hesitation.

Perfect for reunion with my sisters who all love the beach. Oak Street Beach House is in perfect condition--very clean, updated, and basic supplies provided. We had a blast and my sisters were impressed with the environment of the property.

60th Birthday Reunion

Joined 3 college pals for 60th birthday reunion/get together. The cottage was as advertised, very clean, very well equipped, one short block from beautiful Lake Michigan beach. We loved cooking in the kitchen since we could all hang out together around the island while doing meal prep and the dishwasher was a plus. Large deck with two umbrella tables and chairs was great to relax and have morning coffee or evening glass of wine. We were a bit ahead of the summer season, (1st week of June) so some downtown shops weren't open, but we enjoyed wandering downtown and did some wine tasting as well. The owner was very helpful and our deposit was returned promptly.

GREAT relaxing getaway

Very spacious, well maintained property, made for a relaxing weekend getaway for our family. Just a stones throw from the beach, and close to downtown South Haven as well. I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a comfortable vacation spot. Wi-fi available also, so all amenities were provided to make us feel "at home".
