great vacation experience
My husband and two teenagers had a wonderful vacation last
summer at this house across from Three Mile HARBOR. We found
this house just as we had seen in the pictures on the site and also
lots more sent by the owners. This was a house for water lovers.
The ability to be close to the water-the pool and use of the owners’
kayaks, as well as their bikes, made it easy to get to the water and
beach; we used the bikes to go to Samy's Bay Beach, an 8 minute ride
and where we needed no passes. We also went to the ocean beaches
which were a 10 minute drive. The kayaks were moored on Three
Mile Harbor for us. Easy kayaking and lots of fun.
Sunrise or sunset up on the upper deck was really unique. We also
enjoyed the pool and the pool house; a great place to hang out during
the day and even at night with the grill and wet bar so we could just
entertain there. What we also enjoyed were the many private spaces
in this house; all of us could take private time and read or play games
or use the WIFI. The 3 separate entrances from the bedrooms onto
the front of the house wrap deck gave us more spaces to be because
there were comfortable rockers /chairs there facing Three Mile
Harbor Drive and the back of the house with the pool, the hot tub
area, the hammock and the pool house made other quiet hideaway
spots which gave us privacy. It made for a wonderful peaceful stay
for a family. I also enjoyed waking up to see the lights sparkling on
the water which you can see from the bedrooms, although the upper
deck water view in summer is blocked by tree foliage. We still enjoyed
the upper deck, although no view except for treetops, is still private
for sunbathing and having a drink or breakfast. My husband and I
escaped up there after the kids went to bed just to star gaze.
We enjoyed cooking in the very modern kitchen and what was nice
was a full cooking herb garden outside the kitchen door which also
has a gas grill. It is upside down house that worked well for our
family. We had a wonderful summer vacation

Kayaking , cycling and swimming where Three Mile Harbor meets the Bay can't be beat for fun activities and gorgeous water views.
