Four bedroom, living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, large lawn.

Our cottage is located on a 2 acre lot with a large lawn. When you step through the door you step into the living room with a fireplace straight ahead. The bathroom is off to the right at the bottom of the stairs leading to the second floor. The first floor dining room and kitchen wrap around the chimney and fireplace. We have city water and a septic system. The bathroom has a small shower, vanity and toilet. There are four bedrooms upstairs, two doubles and two singles. The front porch is screened in and can be enjoyed day or night bug free. We have a golf cart for transportation, you must have a drivers license to operate it, per local laws.

My brother Tom and I have been going to Little Diamond since 1968 when our parents purchased the cottage. From the time I was eight years old to present day, I still enjoy island life. Our families have benefited from the island experience. The scenic views, beaches, swimming, fishing, sunsets and just relaxing is refreshing. Our parents are gone now so we decided to rent our treasure to help pay expenses and upgrades.Tom and I are retired Police Officers and wish you a safe and happy vacation.

Sometimes we have to find that special place where we can relax and spend quality time with our families. Little Diamond is that place, cook up a traditional Maine lobster feast, relax on the beach with a good book and enjoy the views, take in the sunsets with a glass of wine and explore the surrounding islands. The sound of the fog horn, the distant bells on harbor buoys, the rain on the roof and creating fond memories. You won't be disappointed.

What makes this cottage unique

Maine island life has to be experienced. Picture going to a Maine island with no vehicles . The transportation on the island is walking, golf carts or riding lawn mowers. You can walk from one end of the island to the other end in 15 minutes. At low tide you can walk across a sandbar to Great Diamond Island and if you miss the tide you can ride a ferry back to Little Diamond.

Notes: Life on Little Diamond Island is very peaceful and quiet. The island is within sight of Portland, Maine's largest city, but it's a different world. Take a walk on the dirt roads, go beach combing, fishing for mackerel, swimming, watch the sunsets or just relax and read a good book. The way life should be.
