Photos and Description of the Addison vacation house rental
3 Bedroom, 1 Full And 2 Half-baths, 500' Private Lakeshore

New to the market in 2013!

This is a rare opportunity to rent an historic Victorian home on Lake Champlain. This 1873 Italianate Victorian, at the foot of the scenic Champlain Bridge, sits on 6 acres of what was once a gentleman's farm. The house has been maintained in all its glory for your relaxing vacation on one of the most scenic spots in the Champlain Valley.

The owners have completely renovated this house, but have kept all the features that give the house its old time charm. Plaster crown moldings and chestnut woodwork grace this home's interior. The 10 foot pocket doors separating the three large living areas allow for openness or privacy. A curved staircase leads to the three upstairs bedrooms ( all of which have lake views) and a bathroom which features the original claw foot bathtub with shower. Another half bath is located in one of the bedrooms as well as a downstairs half bath with washer and dryer. All floors have been refinished or carpeted.

This gem has all the conveniences you need to make it the perfect vacation getaway. The bright, sunny kitchen overlooks the lake and boasts all new appliances - refrigerator with ice and water dispenser, dishwasher, electric stove, and a large microwave. The main living room ( there are 3 ) overlooks Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks through a huge bay window.

The house's charm extends to its exterior as well. The spacious front porch ( our favorite place for drinks and hors d'oeuvres) serves as our front row seat to majestic sunsets and the twinkling lights of Port Henry. There is a large lawn with plenty of room to roam. Bald eagles often visit our enormous cottonwood tree that is the namesake of our property. Deer, fox, wild turkeys, ducks, and geese stop by on occasion also to say hello! There is a sloping path leading to 500 ft. of private beachfront. The shallow water makes it the perfect location for fishing, kayaking, canoeing, and jetskiing in the summer and ice fishing in the winter. You will also find that there are plenty of activities to keep you busy if you so choose within a short distance.

We invite you to spend a memorable vacation here at Cottonwood. Book it now for a relaxing Lake Champlain experience!
