I prefer keeping this gem a secret ...

I often visit the island of Curacao, sometimes even twice a year. And this was by far the most beautiful place I've stayed in. There is another great place but that was in the city and it's hard to compare the two as they're so different in style. But if you're looking for tranquility, calm, comfort, ease, a place to relax, swim, meditate- this is your place. The amount of bougainville is mind blowing (the pictures don't even show how lovely the flowers truly are) and humming birds pick at the aloe-type plants, I think they're called algabe and they shoot out to the skies in bright yellows which makes for an amazing contrast with the blue skies and purple bougainville.
There are many birds and you can stare at the sea from the porch. The beds are comfortable, the airconditioning works wonderfully and there's a superfast wifi connection.
The kitchen-utilities are better than I've seen anywhere else (including blender! for soups, or if you prefer... cocktails :)) and Berge + Yohanna have a great taste for art. The design is well done, pretty yet functional and comfortable. The area is calm and safe, the type of tourists that rent in this area are pleasant (not the rowdy kind...!).
From the house, it's a nice walk to the beach - but to me personally, that specific beach is the only downside (which has nothing to do with the house itself, mind you). That beach is an overcrowded and hipster/lounge style beach. But I've always avoided that specific beach and so everytime I'm in Curacao, I rent a car and drive to the more natural beaches on the west side of the island. From where Berge's house is at, that's a bit of a drive, but not an unpleasant one (avoid office-hours traffic though!!).
All in all - I desperately want to return to this place, so whoever reads this... shhhhh do not tell too many people :)
Thanks Berge and Yohanna!
