Sleeping 9 in beds and 3+ on pull-outs, there are 3 Bdrms. on the 1st floor, MBR on the 2nd floor, sitting/TV room and Library w/ sliders to the large deck and beautiful views of the lake. The lower level family room is a perfect place for kids to have their own space, watch movies and play games. It also has great views of the lake w/ 2 bay windows, built-in seating and wet bar. The large,fully equipped kitchen has custom cabinetry and a spacious dining area. The upstairs deck overlooking the lake is ideal for your morning coffee, reading or simply relaxing. The lake is beautiful, incredibly clean and perfect for swimming, fishing, paddling, kayaking and having fun. 2 kayaks, 2 paddleboards, and a floating swim dock, along with a variety of swim tubes and floats are provided.
Lots to Do in the Area: Great day trips are available in all directions. Beautiful Waterfall Trails are only 20 minutes away. To the east is the high peak region of the Adirondacks, including Lake Placid, the site of two Winter Olympic games (about 90 minutes). Slightly north is St. Lawrence University (about 20 minutes) and the St. Lawrence River (about 45 minutes), and Ottawa, the capital of Canada, with its beautiful gardens, canals and waterways, and the Canadian Parliament (90 minutes). Alexandria Bay and Clayton in the Thousand Islands (about 60 minutes) are to the west, and Watertown (60 minutes), Syracuse (120 minutes), and Utica (90 minutes) are to the south. Some of the best white-water rafting in the US is on the Black River, just 50 minutes away.
Trout Lake is Beautiful: 2 kayaks and a 5-person paddle boat are there for you to enjoy and you are welcome to bring your own boat. You can tie-up under cover in the large boat dock with adequate water depth. The crystal clear lake is lined with countless coves and freckled with islands. One-third of the lake is forever wild and features a 1,600 acre state park that is great for hiking and exploring. The lake is stocked annually with a variety of fish including rainbow and lake trout, large and small mouth bass. Perch and rock bass naturally abound so there is great fishing for the kids too. You are only an hour's drive from the high peaks region and 50 min. from some of the best white-water rafting in the US.
There is a fire pit great for evening bon-fires, s'mores, camp songs, and story telling. What fun!
