YOUR PETS ARE WELCOME at the Chalet unit which has a 52 inch HDTV, High Speed Internet, Updated fully equipped kitchen with granite counter tops and breakfast bar along with leather furniture in the living-room. This unit has a washer & dryer, a gas grill and a really nice three season porch. In addition, it has a spacious dining area with a table for six to eight and two bedrooms.The Chalet unit can accommodate up to six people. One bedroom has a king size bed. The other bedroom has a set of bunk beds and a queen size bed.

This unit is one of two properties that we own. The other is a Cottage next door. Please visit Homeaway.com 233355 for further details. We have a five star rating at the Cottage and are striving for nothing less with this new one.

The Chalet unit is located across from the Spruce Moose Lodge at 226 Seavey St. in North Conway Village. (Mount Washington Valley.) You can walk to ZEBS, HORSE FEATHERS, NORTH CONWAY COUNTRY CLUB, CRANMORE MT. AND SEVEN RESTAURANTS AND BARS.. Cranmore Mtn hosts Summer Festivals and Concerts. The crystal clear Saco River offers fly fishing, swimming and kayaking and is also only a short walk. You can walk to Hiking trails for five area mountains. (Cranmore, Black Cap, Peaked, Middle, and Hurricane Mountains.)

The Cottage is located between Mt Cranmore Ski area and The Train Station (NORTH CONWAY SCENIC RAILROAD) .in down town North Conway Village. You can walk to all the events in the park. They include MUD FOOTBALL, NUMEROUS FREE CONCERTS, CRAFT / DOG SHOW'S, 4TH OF JULY FIREWORKS and numerous others. There are at least seven bars and restaurants within walking distance. The crystal clear Saco River at FIRST BRIDGE RECREATION AREA, is also within walking distance. You can bring your chair and watch the kayaks and canoe's travel down river all day. Its also perfect for swimming. We are a short drive to STORY LAND, MOUNT WASHINGTON AUTO ROAD OR COG RAILWAY. We also have friends who own the Spruce Moose Lodge across the street if you have a large crowd and need additional rentals.

About Doug or Dennise Hayes

My name is Doug and I am a retired Detective Captain and my wife Dennise is currently a Special Ed teacher. We had been coming to the Valley for over 30 years. About 12 years ago we decided to invest and bought several units in this neighborhood. We cannot ask for a better location. All the Inn keepers and vacation property owners all pitch in and help one another. We love it here.

Why Doug or Dennise Hayes chose North Conway

We bought this property mainly due to its rich local history and convenience to down town. Our family loves to hike and ski. The history in short is that Otto Tschol came here from St. Anton Arlberg, Austria and built this Chalet with his own hands. He was one of many ski instructors who came here to escape the Nazi's and work for Hannes Schneider's Eastern Slope Ski School at Cranmore Mountain. We have many artifacts if you are interested.

What makes this chalet unique

Location, location, location!!!. You can walk to anything you need!!. Reastaurants, Golf Course, Train Station, Theater, Coffee shops, Bakeries, Real-estate offices, Unique gift shops, World Mudbowll Arena, 4th of July Fireworks, Cupcakery that won 1st place on Food Channel. Hair Salons! We have it all!!

We are in North Conway Village. (Mount Washington Valley). Hiking trails surround us and the Crystal clear Sacco River is a half mile away. 5 Min walk to Cranmore Ski area in one direction or 7 Bars and Restaurants and Schuller Park in the other. We are right in the middle. 4th of July fireworks!! Craft Fairs, Chili cook offs, Mud football, Summer Concerts and First Night festivities are held in Schuller Park. Also located in the Village is the Eastern Slope Play house where plays are held all summer long. North Conway Country Club is also right there next to the Conway Scenic Railroad Station.

  • Rates are for the maximum of six persons for this unit. We have cots and a couch for additional but we will have to charge an extra cleaning fee of 35.00 per stay.
    We are pet friendly but also charge a 35 dollar fee for cleaning, per stay.
  • CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY: The rental charges are fully refundable if you cancel your reservation 30 days prior to your arrival date. If you cancel after that date, the rental charges are nonrefundable unless we are able to rebook the cottage for the dates you have reserved. To recoup the cost of nonrefundable travel expenses, we encourage you to consider purchasing trip-cancellation insurance. Our family rented this unit from Doug and Dennise for the winter ski season. Many owners rent units and treat them like rental property with everything done cheaply. Not the case here. We felt so comfortable that we literally just wanted to stay here instead of going back home. The unit is well taken care of and well equipped.

The location is perfect, you can walk to Cranmore or even the center of town.
There are many restaurants nearby but honestly if you want to stay home and cook the kitchen is perfect for that as well.

Large TV, comfortable beds, and a great sitting area out in the porch which you can take advantage of in warmer weather.

Hopefully this review helps you make up your mind, as it is hard to tell the quality places like this from the rest of them. Our family of four loves it here, and am sure you will too.
