Mango House is nestled into the side of Mount Nevis enjoying stunning views of the Caribbean Sea, Mount Nevis Peak and the islands of Rodonda and Monserrat. The beautiful teak furniture perfectly compliment the traditional wooden structure of the house. Laze around in the plantation chairs and Bali daybeds on the many terraces or by the pool while sipping a rum punch and enjoying a gentle cool breeze coming down off Mount Nevis. The garden is just over an acre and filled with tropical plants including banana, lime, guava, palm and, of course, many mango trees. It is such a peaceful place and perfect for 'liming'!
About Ian Hart (manager)

Chris and Charlotte Ackley live in London. Chris is originally from the US and Charlotte is Danish. They have three children who are born and raised in the UK but spent their vacations growing up on Nevis.

Why Ian Hart (manager) chose Gingerland

Mango house is a beautiful traditional built Caribbean style house. At 800m above sea level it enjoys the gentle cooling breezes of Mount Nevis and yet is only 10 minutes to Windward Beach, The Four Seasons Golf Course and beautiful Charlestown. The house has a beautiful spacious living room on the upper level with a fully equipped kitchen and dining area, huge verandas on both levels, large family room on the lower level with 42 inch flat screen TV and a pool table. There are four large double bedrooms and four large bathrooms.The house also has a 44 foot infinity pool with a large Bali style gazebo and table and chairs for dining and relaxing. In addition to the four bedrooms in Mango house, there is a guest cottage, CocoHut, right next to Mango House. CocoHut can be rented with Mango House but at an additional cost. CocoHut has a master bedroom with a king size bed, a bathroom with shower, a small fully equipped kitchen and a living room with two daybeds suitable for children to sleep on (same size as two single beds).

What makes this villa unique

It is one of the few houses to rent on Nevis that is built in the traditional Caribbean style but has all the comforts of modern living needed for a perfectly relaxing vacation. The house also enjoys the benefits of The Hermitage Plantation Inn's concierge services including horseback riding, tennis, pool, fine dining and cozy bar (probably the best Rum Punch on island).
