This house is great for family gatherings or groups of friends that are seeking peace and serenity while enjoying all that Kentucky Lake offers. This chalet-styled home boasts some of the best views of Kentucky Lake from almost every room and the wrap-around decks. Located in a quiet, residential area with a covered, private boat slip/dock on deep water, revel in the sun rising over the lake, view thousands of stars at night, and enjoy the fishing and boating that the Lake is famous for.
On the main level, the living room boasts Italian leather furniture and two stories of windows to take in the “best views of the lake”. The open concept flows into the dining area and fully stocked kitchen. There is also a full bath and a large bedroom with 2 queen beds. The wrap around deck is a great gathering place to relax and enjoy the views or barbeque on the new gas grill.
The upper level has a large loft area with more scenic views. It’s a terrific area for the kids to play games, watch TV, or to read a book. The loft has a queen size sleeper sofa that converts this into another semi-private bedroom. The master bedroom and bathroom with slate tiles and large shower, are also on the upper level. From this bedroom, you can experience the sun rising over the lake – fantastic!
The lower level is sure to please, with a full size game room complete with a full size pool table and an oak bar with leather bar chairs. There is also a TV nook for watching “the big game” or DVDs. Also on the lower level is a full bathroom and private bedroom with a queen size bed. Walk out to the lower-level screened in patio (covered by the upper deck) to more seating outside.
The property sleeps up to 10 (1 king, 3 queen size beds and 1 queen sofa bed), 3 full bathrooms (two have tubs, one has a large newly tiled shower), a full kitchen with all the amenities, and a game room complete with a pool table, bar and leather bar chairs. In full, there are 3 living\ seating areas, upper level deck and lower level screened in patio with plentiful seating.
Cable TV on separate channels (i.e. you can watch different channels in separate rooms!), DVD player, high-speed internet access (wired or wireless) and phone.
There are board games, cards, and bikes available to tour the neighborhood. As stated, there is a boat ramp less than ¼ mile away and you can tie up your water toys in the covered boat slip while enjoying the 30' dock for fishing or sunning! If you don’t have a boat, arrangements can be made for daily\weekly rental of pontoon, speed, or fishing boats from nearby marinas!
My husband and I were seeking a waterfront property that we could someday use as our retirement home, when we found this fantastic home. The sun coming up over the Land Between the Lakes, privacy, and lake views made it clear that this was the place!
Being as we are a few years away from retirement, we want to share this great house with you! Since purchasing it in 2008 we have completely renovated the house with new appliances, furnishings, a new covered boat slip/dock, screened in porch and new windows to enjoy the fantastic views.
We hope you enjoy this house as much as we do!
Lorie Chezem purchased this house in 2008
This house is like living in a big tree house! On approximately 2 acres, there are no neighbors too close by and a panoramic view of the lake, trees and wildlife. The boat dock is on deep water, so boating and fishing are year-round events.
We looked at other properties in the area, but the wall of windows, open concept and fantastic views made this the home for us!
This home is beautifully maintained inside and out. They are not kidding about the views from everywhere in the house. We (three couples and a teen ager) met here for a week. We really enjoyed dining on the deck and taking in the morning and evening view of the lake. We played board games in the evening in the lower level screened in porch next to the rec room with a pool table. We brought the boat and even when we were not out on the lake skiing and taking in the views at what seemed to be hundreds of coves we enjoyed swimming and hanging out on the dock in the afternoons. The boat ramp to launch was just a few doors down and fuel was available on the water in one of the large coves maybe half a mile away. Found a nice beach to pull up to in the national recreation area also. We went antique shopping in a little town not too far away that had quite a few shops. Spent a day in the Land Between the Lakes recreation area. Had close encounter with bison...I mean close, one practically stuck his head in the car window. No worries, they seemed very tame. Lorie the owner was great with providing info and any answering any questions you may have. They take very good care of the home and the property. It was very clean and had everything we needed. whether you want to go boating, swimming, adventure into the national rec area or just relax and enjoy the views in comfort you will not be disappointed in renting this home.
We had a great time with our children and grandchildren. Three levels gave one the opportunity for privacy when you awoke, and the rest of the day it was possible for us all to be together in comfort, indoors and out. The vehicle for driving down to the dock was great to have, to carry people, fishing equipment chairs, etc. Indoors and out, you had a beautiful view of the lake. Thanks for sharing your home with us.
The house was beautiful inside and out. Pictures just can't do it justice. We sat outside on the new deck and just relaxed looking at the lake. The kids loved going down the hill on the mule and fishing off the dock. We caught so many fish off the dock. We had a family reunion and Lorie provided us a map where people could park. She was so helpful and answered all our questions especially with us coming from Louisiana. The house is secluded and just a little far from a big grocery, but the house has everything you would need. We made one trip for groceries and never left again. I still can't get over how big the house was. Just a great experience.
We had a great time. Much if the house we never used, but what we did use it was great. Wish I had another week. Enjoyed fishing off private dock.
The house was great, it had everything you could ask for more in a rental house! The views were great, the house and the yard were well taken care of! The covered boat dock had plenty of room for the boat and fishing at the end of the day. Great place to take the family and friends and we are already planning a return trip!!!
The house is well equipped! We had two families, totalling 5 kids and it worked very well. There is lot of space to sit and hang out. The cover deck and upper deck are comfortably furnished. The beds were all comfortable.
Located in a quiet area of the lake, you can enjoy boating year round with a covered boat slip on deep water. Kentucky Lake is famous for its fishing.
Shopping, dining, golf and other attractions in Murray, while antique lovers will enjoy nearby Hazel. The Land Between the Lakes is an adventurers dream with seasonal hunting, educational opportunities and year-round adventure.
