Cute and charming eclectic apartment, on the 16th floor of the well-known Meliá Hotel building, in the very heart of Madrid. Hosts 2-6 people.

Located in the best, most lively and safest area in downtown Madrid, with amazing views of the northern side of the city and Madrid´s mountain range. STEPS AWAY FROM all kind of trendy stores, restaurants, movie-theaters, and tapas-bars; just a 5-15 M WALK away from the HISTORIC OLD TOWN with unique HISTORIC SITES like the Royal Palace, the Jardines de Sabatini, the Opera House, Puerta del Sol or Plaza Mayor. Want something different? try the Debod temple, a real Egyptian Temple located right in the gorgeous Parque del Oeste.

Yes, all these places are just walking distance. But having a METRO and BUS stops literally 10 steps from the building hall, you are just 3-6 stops away from the MUSEUM TRIANGLE (El Prado, el Reina Sofia and el Thyssen), other historic or fun places, and of course...the Real Madrid´s Santiago Bernabeu Football (Soccer) Stadium! We are a family of 8, with 6 siblings and with mom and dad already in the late stages in life. We all live in Madrid except for our brother, an ID physician established in the USA since 1989. We care about people and details, and strive to provide you with a unique, unforgettable experience while in our home.

Our grandfather, who was a visionary, bought this property while in its blueprints. We rented long-term the apartment until our ant María Luisa needed a safe, convenient, and small apartment to retire. She passed away last year and we decided to refurbished the unit and dedicate it to a family-based short term rental business.

What makes this apartment unique

Three unique benefits: 1) best location; just steps away from multiple convenient stores, movie theaters, tapas bars, restaurants etc..., 10-15 m walk from the old town and historic sites, and just a few metro-stops away from the Museum Triangle; 2) The views from the 16th floor overseeing the north side of the city and even the mountains...what a background for a relaxed, noise-free breakfast¡; 3) we enjoy the benefit of sharing the building with the Meliá Hotel; therefore, taxis are always available at the doorstep, safety is not a concern, and we do have 24h concierge service.

charming apartment in a great area, wonderful hostess :-)

My daughter and I stayed here in may for 10 days and it was perfect. Safe, comfortable area, right near metro stop Ventura Rodriguez, Corte Ingles supermarket is a couple of blocks away. The side streets near the building have small markets and good restaurants as well as a couple of small art cinemas. Easy walk to Plaza Espana. The master bed and both sofa beds are super comfortable. Good for anyone with mobility issues. 24-hour doorman. Maria and her family were very kind and attentive from the first enquiry i sent back in january til the day we left. We felt like we were actually living in Madrid, not just tourists.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, People with Disabilities, Romantic Getaway

“Unser tolls Zuhause über den Dächern Madrids - Ou

Wir waren in der Semana Santa 2013 eine Woche mit unseren beiden Kindern (17 u. 14 Jahre) in Madrid. Das Appartement hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Am eindrucksvollsten war der Blick aus dem 16. Stock über die Stadt. Die Wohnung ist gut, liebevoll und gemütlich eingerichtet, sauber und gepflegt und wurde für uns schnell zu einem angenehmen „Zuhause“ in der pulsierenden Großstadt. Hier hat es uns an nichts gefehlt. Küche und Bad waren neu und verfügten über alle notwendigen Dinge. Unsere Kinder hätten gerne noch deutsches Fernsehen empfangen aber die gute Internetanbindung hat gereicht. Die zentrale Lage ist super, man kann zu Fuß alles erreichen, auch die Metrostation ist sofort vor der Tür. Notwendige Geschäfte und Restaurants sind in unmittelbarer Nähe. Insgesamt ein gutes und faires Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis.

Durch Maria und Paloma fühlten wir uns sehr gut betreut. Im Vorfeld und während unseres Aufenthaltes reagierten sie immer prompt auf unsere Anliegen und Fragen. Ein- und Ausschecken verlief problemlos und sehr freundlich. Wir kommen sicher noch einmal nach Madrid und würden gerne wieder „unsere Wohnung“ beziehen.“

Great apartment in Madrid

My family just returned from a trip to Madrid and Florence, staying 5 days in this apartment. It is a lovely apartment, with a spacious living room and bedroom with plenty of storage(closets & drawers) nice bathroom with a great shower (lots of hot water!) and a small ktichen w/ coffee pot/ microwave, dishwasher & clothes washer. All in all, it was everything we needed while in Madrid. It is near downtown but only steps away from a metro station, which is extremely easy and convenient to use. It is only a few stops from the main center of town (Sol). I preferred to be outside of the main city center because it is much quieter, epecially at night. It is attached to the Melia Hotel, and has its own entrance with doorman to assist you when you arrive. You can walk to Starbucks or a large dept store which sells everything, from groceries to fashion to sports equipment. The bed was very comfortable (and I am very picky about this!), the pillows also good quality. Cable TV and Wifi worked great. Honestly, everything about this apt was great, including Maria and her sister. Our plane was late and her sister met us at the apt at 10 pm to show us around an give kieys. We got our deposit back before we left. Great value for the price; really felt like we lived in the neighborhood for a short while.

Wonderful City! Wonderful Place!

My family and I had a wonderful time staying in Madrid and this apartment was an especially nice place to stay. It was very convenient with nice restaurants nearby and the metro station just steps away from the apartment so that the entire city of Madrid was easily accessible. The Royal Palace was within walking distance, and though we took the metro to the Prado, we walked back. The location was just so easy to get to.

The beds and futons in the bedroom and living room were very comfortable and Maria provided all the amentities needed to make the stay one without worries or stress. Maria was very helpful before we ever arrived in Madrid, giving us ideas about what to do, how to come from the airport to the apartment, and how to navigate the city. She responded quickly to all the emails that I sent and was always ready and available to help.

My husband accidentally left his suitcase at the airport and only discovered it when the taxi arrived at the apartment. Maria and her brother were very helpful, contacted the airport, and were able to find our bag. This was especially helpful as we do not speak fluent Spanish.

Maria was only a phone call away and helped us so very much. The view from the apartment window was beautiful and we got a real overview of Madrid just looking out the window. It's a wonderful city and I would recommend that anyone stay in this apartment! It's beautifully decorated and peaceful, a perfect place to crash after a day of sightseeing!

De verdad les recomiendo este acojedor apartamento con unas magníficas vistas sobre la ciudad.

A diferencia de otros apartamentos la persona que te recibe y atiende es la propietaria, mujer tremendamente atenta que en todo momento estuvo alerta en facilitarme todo tipo de detalles del apartamento y de las actividades a realizar durante los 5 días que estuvimos en Madrid.
