Leicester Cabin Rental Photos and Description
Cabin, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6)
Cabin Cove Farm is located right on the edge of Asheville's city limits in the rolling hills of it's farm community, Leicester. Though it feels like you are in the country, you are only 15 minutes from downtown Asheville. It is midpoint between Asheville, Waynesville, Hendersonville, and Maggie Valley. It is in an ideal location to see the entire mountain area. The vacation rental cabin on the farm is a modern day hand-hewn hemp log cabin that sleeps 6 adults comfortably. There is a sofa bed in the master bedroom so adding two small children to the group is possible to allow up to 8 guests. The cabin is found on a llama, alpaca and goat farm on 5 acres. They are like pets to us so they enjoy interacting with our guests.

Guestbook comments from the owner
Dear Sharon & Tyler,
Thank you for sharing your cabin & farm with us. We loved the goats, alpacas & llamas. We also loved the evening serenades from the frogs & the firefly light show. Thank you for making us feel so welcome.
Tyler and I bought our farm in '91. We had been living in Graham County in the Smoky Mountains and decided we needed to be closer to civilization. The moment we saw our farm we knew this was our home. After purchasing the place, we lived in the original log cabin/home for 8 years when we decided it was time to try building one of our own design. In '99 we moved out of the original cabin and moved into our newly built home on the farm. We are both service oriented as Tyler is a Psychologist and I am a Wholistic Animal Practitioner by profession. Rather than sell the original cabin, we felt it would be a wonderful experience to have people from all over the world come and visit and experience the farm. It has been a remarkable and fulfilling decision ever since. I feel like we have made so many friends over the years, especially with folks who like to come back again and again. We wanted our rental to be pet friendly because we can't imagine traveling without our babies. Well, not the llamas, alpacas and the goats, I mean our dogs.
The landscape here is just breathtaking. We love the Leicester area for that reason. The rolling hills make such interesting and stimulating views and scenes, especially with the mountain silhouette in the distance. One can be out in the country while just a stones throw from the city center.
We felt moving to this location was the best of all worlds. When we want to jog on over to Waynesville, we go the back road and is there is 20-25 minutes. When we need to go to the airport we are only 25 minutes away. When we want to go anywhere really, we are right in the center of it all and it's just about the same distance - Hendersonville, Maggie Valley, Skiing, and so on.
There's a creek that runs through the edge of the property that is refreshing to soak your feet in or let your pup jump into on hot days.
We let the goats out to munch on the grass around the farm. They're so cute to watch outside the fencing. They act like they are doing something mischievious, a perfect goat feeling to have.
We have these really great Biltmore tickets that we sell to our guests. We have partnered up with Biltmore Estate and doing so allows us to sell tickets at a big discount as well as they are two day tickets. It's great to feel you don't have to stay there all day but can go back and forth off the property for two full days and nights.
Our favorite thing to do on Sunday morning is to go to Sunnypoint cafe in West Asheville for Breakfast. It's just a really local thing to do. Very hippish type of place.
Another of our favorite things to do is to take our pups with us for free puppy cups at Tastee Freez just down the road from the farm. They have soft swirl ice cream made with the freshest and best of ingredients. I know the lady who owns it so I know what the ingredients are in the soft swirl and they are good!!
