Luxury Yacht in Barcelona Old Port by Ramblas

We chose the yacht as an opportunity for a truly different experience on a family vacation with our adult children (2 additional couples) and found it to be a great experience. The yacht is well outfitted and was a great base of operations. Close to the city and the beaches, it was a convenient base for exploring Barcelona. Drinks in the evening out on the decks were great, and we brought in breakfast every morning as well. The agent was very responsive in getting several equipment problems quickly resolved, and when we could not get internet because the yacht was temporarily in a different location, he even arranged an alternative service for us. We also met the owners, who were very personable, and were planning some significant improvements to the yacht. We thoroughly enjoyed our time on Majestic One. We also recommend checking out some of the restaurants in nearby Barceloneta, where the prices seem better than those elsewhere in the city.

We weren't too sure what to expect when booking to stay on a boat instead of an apartment, but what an excellent decision. The boat was immaculate and stunning and ideal for our mixed group of family and friends. It is in a great Marina at the heart of Barcelona with lovely views from the fly-bridge, and close to excellent restaurants and attractions. To wake up on board and have breakfast outside, under the canopy in the sunshine was fantastic, and after a good day out in Barcelona, to settle back on board on the top deck with a G&T and watch the world go by - magical. Everything we needed was on board, from a great kitchen with all applicances, to fridges for the beer everywhere, and meeting up with the agent all worked well.
Overall, a break with a difference and one we look forward to soing again.

Great location with easy access to city and services. Management staff helpful and answered questions in timely manner. Boat is well maintained but pictures are of boat when it was newer. Very comfortable for 2 couples...probably no more although it sleeps more...two additional teenagers would be ok. Main staterooms great. Everything worked but coffee maker. Internet access spotty. Food shopping is within walking distance for basics; MareMagnum shopping center and some fast foods across the road. City sights and restaurants within walking distance. Marina a base of La Rambla. Very safe with Marina gated and CCTV. Cabs, bus and train close by. No car needed...but there is a parking space for a car! Water on boat potable but would use bottled water. Highly recommended and good value but remember, you are on a boat...in a Marina.
