Pacific Grove House Rental Photos and Description
3 bedroom, 3 bath vacation home sleeps 6-8 (K, Q, K/2T Combo)
Do you want to watch whales from the master suite while you relax on the deck? Listen to the breaking surf lull you to sleep? Or take a short 1-block walk to greet the sunrise on Monterey Bay? Enjoy all this and more at this beautiful 2-story, 3,600 sq ft Pacific Grove home just a block from the Monterey Bay shoreline. The recently updated, art-filled 3-bedroom, 3-bath house has a tranquilizing contemporary feel with spacious rooms and Asian accents.
A semi-circular driveway leads to an oversized door opening to an earth-toned living room with vaulted ceilings, poured concrete floors, a wood-burning fireplace and comfortable furnishings. A maple media center with flat-screened TV exemplifies the custom cabinetry found throughout. Two built-in corner window seats offer spots for reading or contemplation. French doors off the living room open to a fenced-in back patio landscaped in native plants. A hot tub, gas fire pit, gas grill and teak bench, table and chairs for 4 make it a wonderful place for outdoor entertaining.
Upon your arrival you will be greeted by complimentary hors d’oeuvres and wine or sparkling cider, passes to the famous Spa on the Plaza in Monterey, tickets for a tasting at Scheid Winery in Carmel-by-the-Sea, local organic coffee and a basket of local information. An assigned concierge house manager is available to assist you during your stay. Spa amenities are provided in the bathrooms as are plush bathrobes, oversized towels and everything you need for a day at the beach.
The drop-dead gorgeous kitchen would be the envy of a professional chef. Highlights include black and green granite counter tops, a large central island, tile floors and backsplash, maple cabinets, an oversized refrigerator, counter-top gas stove, double ovens, dishwasher and a microwave. Enjoy delicious meals in a separate dining room with a round wooden table with 6 upholstered chairs, a decorative fireplace that can be lit with candles and recessed wall shelving displaying glass objets d'art.
The first floor also includes a bedroom in a seashell theme with a queen with taupe coverlet and luxury linens, a flat-screen TV and a door that opens to a small patio where you can sip morning coffee and watch the trees sway in the park. A contemporary bathroom has cocoa-colored tile around the etched stainless steel sink and tub/shower, a slate floor and maple cabinets. Down the hall is a laundry room with washer and dryer and a door to the 2-car garage. Parking is also available in the driveway or on the street.
An undulating staircase between the kitchen and dining room leads to the 2nd story and an open area -- large enough for 2 twin aerobeds for kids -- with floor-to-ceiling windows and built-in shelving stocked with games, puzzles and children's books. At the far end is an office with ocean and park views.
A spectacular master suite includes a sitting area with yellow and blue upholstered loveseat and chair and binoculars for whale watching. A king bed is fitted with a periwinkle blue coverlet and white duvet. A wall of built-in shelving is stocked with art books. French doors open to a large deck with bay views. A spacious bathroom in soothing neutral tones includes a large soaking tub framed in marble tiles with ocean views (and privacy shades), a glass-framed walk-in shower and a generous walk-in closet.
A 2nd master has a king with Memory Foam topper (that can become 2 twins) with an aqua toned coverlet, 2 bedside tables, a flat-screen TV and an upholstered chaise that can sleep a child. A door set into floor-to-ceiling windows opens to a deck with bay views. A short hallway bordered by mirrored closets leads to a bathroom with sand-colored tiles and a glass-enclosed walk-in shower.
This home is just blocks from the local shops and restaurants of Pacific Grove. The quaint village of Carmel, the historic sites of Monterey and the world-class golf courses of Pebble Beach are a 10-minute drive. A beautiful walking/bike trail is just a stone's throw away.

Guestbook comments from the manager
Thank you for a wonderful weekend! Upon arriving to the house we were not sure if this was the house because it was so big and beautiful. Once inside we were even more amazed at the beauty of it all. The floors and decor are gorgeous and so many great amenities. We imagined ourselves living here!
We have come to love Pacific Grove and can not wait to return again in the near future.
