If you are adventurous, take a kayak or canoe exploring the upper Herring River. (launch from back rd. to Truro) It is a short bike ride to Bound Brook Bay Beach, just North of Duck Harbor but more secluded and private. Truly a hidden gem! The beauty and nature is abundant in Wellfleet , where there are too many wonderful places to list. Come see for yourselves. We really enjoyed our stay. The kitchen was well equipped and we found everything we needed. It was very convenient to everything. We hardly ever went on Rt. 6.
Xenia and Gregor live in Germany where they are published writers. Xenia's father Heinrich introduced her to Cape Cod where they fell in love with the area. Heinrich helped them build this uniquely handcrafted Haywain Home fondly called X haus.
The home borders Nationa Seashore wooded parkland. It is within biking distance of Boundbrook Island Beach, a secluded bayside beach. Also biking to the backroad to Truro or into Wellfeet center.
