San Carlos, Sonora, Mexico is a Mexican community with a large population of North Americans. The town is located 250 miles south of the Nogales, Arizona border, on the Sea of Cortez. We are located on the beautiful San Franciso beach with 3-1/2 miles of sand. Our poolside condo is on the ground floor and just a few steps from the beach where you will enjoy daily dolphin viewings in the bay. Kayakers enjoy the Sea of Cortez where they often kayak or swim close to the dolphins. On your walk, to the east of the sandy beach, is a government protected estuary, a bird watchers' paradise! The shelling is a beachcombers' heaven! The seawall is a favorite gathering place to watch the fabulous sunsets and see the landmark Tetakawi Mountains. Bahia Delfin is a gated condo complex of 148 with very friendly people, a resort-sized heated swimming pool and 24-hour security. There are no assigned parking spaces. It is an open parking lot. Each occupied unit is allowed one parking space. During peak times, lighted parking is also available outside the front gate where this is parking for RV's, cars, boats and trailers. Our office library has a large book and DVD collection for your enjoyment. We truly offer something for everyone...sight seeing, shelling, world-class scuba diving, snorkeling, wind surfing, deep-sea fishing, sailing, kayaking, hiking in Nacapule Canyon, wonderful restaurants and bars throughout the town and palapas along the beach, musicians and/or mariachi players at many of the restaurants, galleries, gift shops, dolphin watching and sunset cruises, health and beauty spas. Sport fishing and diving are among the top recreational activities provided by the richness of the Sea of Cortez and the greatest reef in Latin America. The fishing of marlin, sailfish, Dorado (mahimahi), tuna and skip jack, takes place from May to October and between November and April, Red snapper, yellow tail, white fish, 'cabruilla' and 'pinto bass' are some of the most popular species. In nearby Guaymas, 8 miles , visit the orange grove, cinema, marina, markets, pearl farm, more shopping, restaurants and site seeing.
