On the side a terrace from where you walk through the fenced garden up to the pool area where you find sunbeds, 2 sunbrellas, a seating area and a pool shower. Between the pool and the garden is a safety gate for little children.
At the back of the house is a swing for the little ones. Further on our 1.5 acre land full of Almond, Olive and fruit trees, you can also find a tree hut with a tire swing.
Everything is completely private and the large drive has a fully automatic gate.

On the side of the house is a separate apartment, with own entrance, kitchenette, private bathroom and separate bedroom, which is suitable for up to 4 people. Ideal for a family with little children, or grandparents, who like to be on their own. It has it's own outside seating area and picnic table, so you will be able to stay with us with up to 12 people!
The house has 4 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms, and the separate apartment 2 bedrooms with 1 bathroom.

Our house is build with a high insulating modern gas concrete called Y-tong, to be comfortable in temperature throughout the year. Therefore we have chosen not to install air-conditioning. However we have 1 mobile air-con available, and several air fans, for those who really can not do without.
We are Merijn, Jeannette, Juli and Finn, a young dutch family who moved to Spain 7 years ago. Coming from a commercial and marketing background we descided to change our lives, so Jeannette studied interior architecture and meanwhile Merijn started a workshop and makes his own furniture these days.
Merijn loves to cycle, which is great around here, and Jeannette likes to cook and hike.

The moment we arrived at the plot, which was up for sale, we knew within a few minutes that it was the right place to start our dream. The views and tranquility of nature, the choice for a more healthy lifestyle for body and mind, but everything within close reach. The village with everything you need for daily live, and the busy and buzzing beaches throughout the summer.
As we designed the house ourselves, we could situate the property as we liked it. So everything evolves around the valley and sea view. The kitchen, living and dining area and 4 of our bedrooms and even the en-suite bathroom next to the master bedroom, have this view! Downstairs you can enjoy the view from behind the stove (my favorite place)
In the summer the roofed terrace, right next to the kitchen/dining place, offers you a cool hangout place where almost every afternoon you can feel a breeze coming in from the sea. As the house is situated on the South/East it offers you sun for breakfast.
The Finca's surroundings really are special. Hidden privately between the mountains and green valleys the Finca has wonderful sea views. A picturesque setting - second to none.The village of Benissa is a 8 minute drive by car. Calpe, with its blue flag beaches is just 12 minutes by car. Just a little further, there are many more beautiful and fun places to see and explore. (i.e. Altea, Moraira, Javea, Denia) All worth a visit for their culture and traditions and beautiful settings.
The area of Benissa, Calpe and Altea is famous for fantastic picturesque cycling routes and tracks. Cycle racers as well as mountain bikers, have plenty of possibilities.
The Finca is surrounded by mountains which offer wonderful hiking routes and treks. The Bernia mountain is well known for its stunning hiking and walking, Also on our doorstep is the Olta and Montgo which offer fantastic views, picnic and BBQ areas. For the less ambitious there are many gentle walks to be enjoyed through the Almond and olive tree groves in the surrounding area.
This area is very popular with Golfers and there are four golf courses in less than 40 minutes drive. The smallest, Golf Ifach is nice and very challenging. A short 9 holes course, great for just a morning's game. It's located in the urbanization San Jaime of Benissa, close to the sea. In Altea you have Don Cayo, a 9 hole course, but with a lot off difference in height. . There is Javea Golf Club, a full 18 hole course, beautifully maintained and a wonderful golf experience. A bit further away you have Golf La Sella, near Denia, also 18 holes and shortly expanding by another 9 holes. A little bit further along the coast there are plenty of others, for example there are some superb courses in Benidorm and close to Valencia. A real must for keen Golfers.
Benissa is a small village situated, in a large district. The village is typical Spanish, with 'fiestas' almost monthly throughout the year. It has a handful of little terraces and a beautiful Cathedral. No touristy stuff and therefore true and simply Spanish, which can sometimes be a rarity amongst the busier coastal towns.
Benissa has a couple of small and pretty beaches, but you have to know where they are to be able to find them. They will give you a feeling of Ibiza, as they are more often surrounded by cliffs.
Every Saturday morning there is a traditional market in the village. The market is bustling and vibrant with a great fruit and vegetable section, and the best olives and grilled chicken in the area. Benissa is a taste of the real Spain with friendly people and beautiful surroundings.
Calpe is the closest coastal village, in relation to the Finca. It has 2 large blue flag white sanded beaches, and a smaller one underneath the rock named Ifach. Ideal for children as there is no traffic along the promenades, and every 100 meters or so, places to climb and play. Also along the beaches you will be able to find many bars and restaurants. For some people too touristy, but nice to have within a 15 minute drive.
After the busy summer months the beaches become quiet and the town is less crowded and it's a great place to have tapas, drinks and watch the surfers and kite surfers take on the waves.
Calpe has, besides its busy centre and beaches, a tiny historic part. Little swirly streets, dotted with authentic restaurants. You need to know where they are but they are definitely worth a visit.
Altea is a village with two faces. At one side the village with the shops, beaches, many nice terraces, restaurants and bars, and the historic old town nestling above the beach on the hill. The historic part has a large square, fantastic restaurants and incredible views across the sea.
Moraira is a small fishing village with some of the best terraces around. There is a small but lively blue flag beach, a tiny shopping area which is full of restaurants and bars, busy and buzzing most months of the year. Hidden at the back of the town, you will find 'El Portet' an idyllic beach surrounded by rocky hills. Time seems to stand still in the turquoise bay which is both shallow and warm, ideal for all ages. There are also two vibrant restaurants where it's nice just to sit and take in the views with a cool drink.
The coastal road, between Moraira and Calpe, is also worth a visit. It´s the coastline of Benissa, full of little beaches with tiny bars, difficult to find but therefore worth wile paying a visit.
Try bar/restaurant called 'Algas' Situated on a rocky plinth overlooking the sea it has good music, tapas and a great atmosphere!

House needs to be left behind with swept floors and without garbage.
Seperate appartment which sleeps 4 can be booked for an additional fee of:
a 50% payment secures your booking, the remaining 50% needs to be with us 1 week before arrival, or to be paid in cash at time of arrival.
A damage deposit of 500 needs to be handed over in cash at time of arrival, which will be returned by bank within a week after departure if nothing needs to be deducted.
Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency (EUR) unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.
